Hey, I'm posting here again!

Just got home from seeing it and I loved it. Feels much faster paced and gave me a better first impression than BoG.

Although, I do agree with Julian on the podcast that there were times it went a bit too fast and some scenes could have been fleshed out a lot more. This is definitely a movie that would benefit from an extended edition.

My highlights:

- Everyone gets their moment to shine, including Tenshinhan and Roshi.
- Jaco is Awesome.
- SSJ God Goku vs. Freeza = AWESOME.
- SSJ God Vegeta vs. Freeza = MORE AWESOME.

I'll be posting video coverage of the event soon and Mike will most likely post it on the front page when it's done.

I saw on dbzf , that one guy who saw it said golden friza was acc stronger than goku and blue SSGSS goku stalled on purpose ? But then I don't get how Goku could've finished him so easy with one kamehmaeha ? So is Freeza stronger or ?
And how's Vegeta SSGSS ?

I want to comment also on how great and seamless the cg was in this film. I was BoG's number one critic when it came to how crappy the cg looked integrated into the movie. This however, was nearly seamless for the most part. There were only a few key moments where it was even noticeable. The jump in quality CG wise from BoG to RoF is nothing less than stunning.

It's still possible this movie gets an extended cut where we see character cameos (e.g. Trunks, Goten, and Buu), and Magenta Goku in all his glory. You never know.

Come on, movie! I know I won't see you til late this year, but please for the love of all the time and energy I've invested have something that makes up for all this!

I'm trying not to feel sad. I really am.
Chronologically, only a few years if at that were passing in real time between ssj1, ssj2, and ssj3; so it's not like a two year gap then replacement is unusual, but I don't like the replacement. I don't even want a replacement. At least when Gokû shows off ssj3 (both times, Buu arc and BOG) he cycles through the other forms first. This one's just base -> blueper. Nothing in-between. It's like, why show even show me something fresh like ssjg Gokû if you're just gonna drop him for a color-swapped ssj1 in the next movie? I really really like ssjg and I'm probably gonna temp-leave the thread and go sulk/feel sad about it outside of the internet for a little while until this weird sadness feeling of mine passes and I start to feel better (shouldn't take too long, these moods usually don't last that long for me; I could be back before the end of the night, who knows). I hope these feelings don't last long anyway.

As someone who also likes SSJG more than any other form, I can't say I'm particularly bummed about it unlike yourself. I'm mostly just relieved that Blueper Saiyan doesn't diminish SSJG's status as Goku's highest transformation as it's literally just an altered SSJ1 using SSJG's power. Sure, we may never see it again, but I prefer to think that it makes BoG that much more of a unique experience compared to the other films.

I REALLY liked Vegeta's fight with Freeza near the end. I don't think I've seen a "good guy" do that type of fighting in DBZ before. Vegeta really owns that moment and it's fantastic.

I've read this from more then one person now.

Hopefully this'll put to rest the complaints about Vegeta on Youtube and other forums cause it sounds like he gets the best part of the movie both in terms of animation and fighting then when you add this to his role in BOG&the 2008 OVA,he's getting a lot of attention from Toriyama and will continue to in future stories so his fanbase should be happy about it which I am but unfortunately there's a lot of fans who aren't and I hope that changes after everyone sees this movie cause it could be a lot worse,he could have been pushed aside in favor of Gohan or Goku being the only lead.

If Vegeta fans want to know what being a useless character means then go watch One Piece.

I've seen the first 195 episodes (which end with Skypiea) and Luffy has been on an entire different level then everyone else both in terms of power and importance to the story which isn't the case with Db.

I don't know how to explain since I'm not that good in the subject of "art" but maybe it has to do with "quark colors/anticolors". In this case, Super Saiyan God is red, its anticolor is... Cyan!

I'm just excited to see Master Roshi in fcking action again! Its been soooooo long, seriously. On another note Toei has always done a movie with these kinds of outcome.
-Goku gets the long fight and finishes it.
-Vegeta gets a short fight but more memorable than Goku's fight.
Thats the way Toei rolls.
It happened in Janemba,Herudagarn,Broly,BoG wont be surprised if people saw it like that too in RoF.
