Buu regenerating himself along with the people he absorbed

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

Buu regenerating himself along with the people he absorbed

Post by Xeogran » Sat Apr 11, 2015 5:22 am

I understand regenerating his body because it's his ability, but Gohan, Goten, Trunks and Piccolo should have been non-existent by this moment:
Or when the only remaining thing was his head:
His stomach should have been his weak point from the beginning (destroying the cocoons would mean he'd get reverted back to Super Buu). And Vegetto without considering the possibility of killing these he wanted to save, recklessly continued to make holes in Buu.

On another note, couldn't Candy Vegetto just go inside Buu's stomach, rip the cocoons off and push his friends from Buu's body? Would be way easier than getting himself absorbed and going through such a hassle. Buu did him a big favor, yet he sticked to his primary plan.

Buu's body was never actually destroyed in the manga after he had absorbed people.

The people that Majin Boo absorbed are a part of him on a more extreme level then say, when Cell absorbs people. When Majin Boo absorbs people, they become part of him on a atomic level. So as long as one atom of Majin Boo remains, the people/person he has absorbed, will still live.

Buu is a being infused with magic. So, its perfectly possible that even if you destroyed the exact spot where Gohan and the others are supposed to be, Buu would just regenerate everything. To really destroy them or separate them from Buu, it would have to be done from inside Buu after being transported there by Buu's magic.

I think we have to remember that it is just a manga. Toriyama had a very similar problem with Cell: Goku blew up half of his body with the warp Kamehameha attack and Gohan did similar damage. Then what happens? Cell regurgitates Android 18. The only difference here, besides that someone mentioned Buu doesn't get blown up in the manga, is that he is a magical being after all. Plus it's just Dragon Ball Z logic.

It all points to one answer:

It's magic.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

To people saying that it's magic:

Second post told me that Buu's body has never been destroyed in the manga after his absorptions. So it's not really manga proven that he can restore people inside with himself afterall.
Therefore does it mean that it may not be any magic at all, but Buu's stomach would actually be vulnerable? As in, his weak point? Since destroying it would make Buu revert into previous form.

I'm just thinking about it like that. Actually how does this statement stand up to Fat Buu (who was after absorbption of the Kaioshins) and Super Buu (Who had Fat Buu absorbed)? Did any of them got their bodies destroyed throughout the manga, and regenerated with their absorptions in-tact? I don't remember these kind of details anymore.

Super Buu explodes and regenerates and he has Good Buu absorbed. Granted, Good Buu is capable of regeneration, but I think it's more likely that it's Super Buu who is regenerating himself along with Good Buu, and not Good Buu regenerating himself.
