I can't believe Wrath Of Dragon performed so underwhelming in the box office.
Yeah it is odd, it's not like the series had finished at that point either.

I'd forgot that Japan are quite in front of UK and US, it's already nearly 3pm over there so this time tomorrow maybe there will be some kind of news of how it's done.
Again Battle of Gods made ¥354 million opening day and ¥684 million opening weekend with 561,000 tickets sold. The guy who mainly keeps track of all the Box Office for Japan also said this.
"It's going to be a close race. The Japanese Box-Office is always at its best when multiple event films open at the same time. Both films will very likely earn over 500,000 admissions, if not 600,000+ admissions over the weekend, setting the bar quite high for all the Summer releases to come.

So whether it'll end up being #1 or not we'll see.
