Not that age and time freezes matter. Anyone who is a Simpsons or Detective Conan fan knows that. Some things are pretty normal even though they are weird.

I always assumed Bulmas age in BoG was because of her lying about it.
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

Bulma had no problem admitting she was 2 (actually 4 but she didn't know) years older than Goku. Why would she suddenly lie?

Because that's a thing people do in their old age. Nobody cares when they're younger.Cetra wrote:Bulma had no problem admitting she was 2 (actually 4 but she didn't know) years older than Goku. Why would she suddenly lie?

That basically means she knew about people knowing her age and hoped they would have forgotten.AjayLikesGaming wrote:Because that's a thing people do in their old age. I thought it was obvious that Bulma lied about her age. There were a lot of jokes about it in BoG.
Cool stuff that I upload here because Youtube will copyright claim it: https://vimeo.com/user60967147

It was definitely obvious. But I guess this joke completely flew over the head of some peoplePolyphase Avatron wrote:I thought it was obvious that Bulma lied about her age. There were a lot of jokes about it in BoG.
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection '
It was definitely not obvious, there was no indication of a joke at all when she said she was 38.

In 1 year, Kid Trunks from BOG is supposed to look like 14 year old Trunks from the TV Specia/Manga XDOne_Instance wrote:Well just look at Goku at 16 and Gohan at 11. But Trunks from Movie 15 is 13 years. That is actually an inconsistency, since they "are" the same person, why Trunks from present would grow differently from his counterpart?dbzfan7 wrote:In 1 year, Kid Trunks from BOG is supposed to look like 14 year old Trunks from the TV Specia/Manga XD

Time travel shenanigans altered the conception in traditional time travel fiction fashion, so he got the Saiyan growth gene like Goten instead of the human one like Gohan. I am calling it. xD

Training in the gravity chamber affected Kid Trunk's growth.
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection '
I have no idea. Gohan had a steady growth...But Trunks is supposed to grow like a foot taller in a single year. Damn he drank a lot of milk. But no juice like Vegeta suggested.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Time travel shenanigans altered the conception in traditional time travel fiction fashion, so he got the Saiyan growth gene like Goten instead of the human one like Gohan. Real answer: Toriyama/TOei designers couldn't be arsed to update his/Goten's design. Or they couldn't be bothered to check dates.Dyno wrote:But Trunks from Movie 15 is 13 years. That is indeed a good theory/explanation.Marco Polo wrote:Training in the gravity chamber affected Kid Trunk's growth.
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection '
I just posted it above. Do you actually think it's part of the carefully planned Toriyama/Toei lore background that explains why there's no consistiency in the series when it comes to design growth of different characters lol? C'mon...Dyno wrote:That is indeed a good theory/explanation.Marco Polo wrote:Training in the gravity chamber affected Kid Trunk's growth. But I really wanna see an official explanation of why Trunks "is" (since he didn't appear in Movie 15, can't say for sure if he is) still a kid in Age 779.
