It was definitely obvious. But I guess this joke completely flew over the head of some people

I don't really see why she couldn't be 12. As you can see, Dragon Ball isn't really a stranger to continuity errors.

I have no idea. Gohan had a steady growth...But Trunks is supposed to grow like a foot taller in a single year. Damn he drank a lot of milk. But no juice like Vegeta suggested.

Real answer: Toriyama/TOei designers couldn't be arsed to update his/Goten's design. Or they couldn't be bothered to check dates.

That is indeed a good theory/explanation. But I really wanna see an official explanation of why Trunks "is" (since he didn't appear in Movie 15, can't say for sure if he is) still a kid in Age 779.

I just posted it above. Do you actually think it's part of the carefully planned Toriyama/Toei lore background that explains why there's no consistiency in the series when it comes to design growth of different characters lol? C'mon...
