Easiest question ever:
You... have a point.
But that doesn't change the fact that Bulma would jump all over Goku first as soon as the tournament is over... soooooo.... Goku + Bulma + Vegeta? I guess that would make the most sense?

As someone just pointed me out on tumblr... we are not thinking what would have happened with Chichi. She could have gone for Yamcha instead, just adding to Bulma's anger and pushing her to pursue Goku harder.
-perfect-

Yamcha did 'cheat' on Bulma, he was also with Chi-Chi alone the entire time Goku was sick, and Chi-Chi was the only who cared if Yamcha would participate at the 25th Budokai... but Yamcha clearly wants the pussy.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I'm just about done with the concept of reboots and making shows that were products of their time and impactful "new and sexy" and in line with modern tastes and sensibilities. Let stuff stay in their era and give today's kids their own shit to watch.
I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

Nnnnnnnnnope. Do. No. Want.
But in all seriousness, I have always been intrigue by the idea of Chi-Chi marrying Vegeta and Goku being married Bulma. I so want a Dragon Ball to have a Flashpoint Paradox-like storyline which would explore that.

I don't see the possibility that Vegeta would be interest in ChiChi. Bulma is independent and a genius on her own right... and her company technically owns half the world's technology.
To be honest, Chichi's life expectations have always been more in line with Yamcha's.

All I know is that if Goku married Bulma or Suno Gohan would have handled the Buu saga on his own, no Buu, No Gotenks and no SSJ3. Chi-Chi put the scholar thoughts in Gohan's head where I feel Bulma would have still gave him the brains but she or Suno would have encouraged him to be like Goku.

Hell, if we take Future Bulma as reference, the impression she had of Goku... the way she talked about him almost seemed like she had Goku in a pedestal and had a crush on him.

Did you anyone ever consider Chi-Chi ending up with Krillin? During the 23rd Tournament, he notably commented on how cute she was and seemed jealous that Goku was going to marry her. What if, in the event that Goku didn't get married to her, Krillin decides to try his luck?
Not sure about Goku and Bulma. Maybe, though I think the majority of Vegeta's character development came through his relationship with her. If she's with Goku instead, he might remain evil and they may be forced to kill him at some point.

Almost forgot about him. Let's add him to the list of potential lovers for Chi-Chi that's not Goku:
Best to Worst
1. Yamcha
2. Piccolo
3. Kuririn
4. Bulma

I actually thought of that, but ChiChi didn't seem interested on him at all. Instead, she remembered Yamcha very well and apologized because she was going to marry Goku instead.

ChiChiFan wrote:I can picture him with Suno instead of Bulma. Bulma is too much of a spoil rich girl and Goku is more of a laid back, country hick kind of guy.
I agree Suno would fit him much better. The problem would be how to get them together in the first place. Plot wise... by the end of DB there wasn't a reason for him (that I can see) to travel to Jingle Village and have a "fateful encounter" with Suno. But yeah, it would have been perfect. I'm almost sure Suno would have allowed Goku to train their children. Even Hatchan would have taken the place of Gyumao like some sort of uncle. Cell saga would have been weird for that kid(s).
Bulma was already showing interest on him at the very start of the tournament and surely would not had miss a beat to make her move, but I completely see the possibility that Bulma would eventually realize he's too... Goku. As soon as the novelty wears off, she might back track on their relationship. Although... the way Future Bulma talks about him makes me wonder if she really had some platonic feelings for Goku up to when the Androids show up.

I agree with a poster before saying that Bulma's and goku's relationship is more intriguing as friends whose anchor revolves the series around. Kind of like Penny's and Sheldon's relationship in TBBT.
Suno probably would have been a great wife for Goku had he not married Chi Chi. While it does seem reasonable to see him with Bulma, I always felt that their relationship was more akin to a really deep friendship.
If he somehow ended up with 18, she would have loved his passion for entering the World Martial Arts Tournaments, as it would likely mean prize money for her. With that said, I really can't picture these two as a couple.
miguelnuva1 wrote:It surprises me to see so many say that they can't see the Goku/Bulma parring as I feel that parring had all the generic anime parring signs.
I do like the idea but I think it was the fact that for most of early DB they were more like Big sister-little brother. Her interest on him only happened as soon as he became a Handsome young man. I do believe Bulma would have pursued him as soon as she was able, and succeded; but I dont think it would have lasted long.
