It's subtle, but it's there if you pay attention, just like all character development in Dragon Ball.
In regards to the fight, I agree that it was pretty underwhelming and average at best, CGI overall was better than BoG's but too much of it was used. The second time F was used was in that fight and most of it was spent on Beerus and Whis talking about food, lol, and their gags were pretty unnecessary. I loved Goku's punch to Freeza's chest, Vegeta's beat-down and Nakao's screams when Freeza gets out of the water, though.
And Frieza didn't train even he had already knew it? What a logic
Goku is garbage. He has fighted several times but doesn't get any experience. Even kid goku acts better.
Vegeta is garbage. He wanted to fight against normal Frieza, hit Goku because of this but wet his pant after seeing Golden Frieza? Compare to Buu Saga and BOG,Vegeta is absolutely garbage
Other casts except Whis and Beerus are nothing.
And the reason why they didn't choose Goten,Trunks,Buu is completely shit. They forgot Buu's regeneration
Art is good but not special,CGI is bad,as usual
And sure,Sorbet's beam scene,LOL
