Who's your favorite non-relevant human character?

Post by fadeddreams5 » Sat May 16, 2015 8:58 pm

As in a human character that plays no real role in the story what-so-ever. Can be a version from any official dub since they shouldn't be relevant to the story anyways.

Suggestions:
Killa (Funi Dub):

Otokosuki:

Captain Chicken:

Farmer w/ shotgun (arguably, the most developed character in my list):

Mr. Announcer

He's dedicated, charismatic, and can see through Mr. Satan's bullshit. Best human character period.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

What is up with your obsession with Killa, fadeddreams5? :eh:

Anyways, the Tenkaichi Budokai announcer get my vote. He's Don LaFontaine and Michael Buffer rolled into one. Plus, he's the only character outside of the main and supporting cast that gives the Z-Fighters the credit for the shit they do. He's awesome.

Probably Maron from the Garlic Jr. arc, because, y'know. She's nice to look at.

Among characters in the manga... I guess the other Marron? Is Upa too major a character to count?

I would've said Captain Chicken, but for sake of originality, I have to say Man-Wolf. Why? Because just look at this masterpiece of a body!

I liked that sleazy reporter who tries to get an interview with Yajirobe during the Ocean Saiyan Saga, although he's really just a one or two line background character so he might not count.

The less that he's seen or heard the less relevant he is, so I'm sure it will.

There is a character that is officially credited as "Pink Hat Guy" by FUNimation, apparently he's voiced by some guy called Jon Allen. I'd have to say he's up there on my list, even though I only have a vague image of what he actually looks like.

That blonde girl who went to school with Videl and Gohan. She was kind of hot.

And here I thought I was the only one that thought Erasa was kind of attractive. :P

Favorite character that's not really relevant at all...hmm...is it cheating to list a filler character if the character was fairly important to said filler? Cuz I've always kind of liked Pigero the best from the filler material. I dunno why, but I just remember always finding him kind of cool, and wishing he'd made a return in some Saiyaman filler and seeing what became of that strange little kid he'd met.

Trying to think of someone less notable and/or not from filler though, hmm...I do definitely like the Tournament Announcer, he's a fun guy. Uhh...OH! Well, if we're talking strictly from the dub point of view, this guy has always amused me for obvious reasons. :P

I've always liked the skateboarder guy that Krillin lands in front of while searching for Androids 19 and 20.

My favorite isn't a character...it's a duo! I miss Bora and Upa and really hope they come back in Super! They pretty much stopped being relevant after Bora was revived and were never really revisited.
Going on hiatus. Too much stuff in RL to deal with for me to keep up with posts here for now. Was fun, hope you all have a nice day and future! Volt signing off.

I was considering Upa and Bora, but the latter's death did really set the stage for the most important use for the Dragonballs which kind of made them important, at least in my eyes.

How irrelevant does a character have to be? I like a lot of human characters outside the major human fighters; Nam, General Blue, Marron, Mai, Master Shen, The announcer, etc.

Does Chiaoutzu count?
His only role was to show Krillin's improvement, be Tien's Satellite character and die three times without achieving anything. I really like the guy, and wish he'd had a better showing since his most impressive feat was dodging a ki blast from Buu.

Kirano, from the 28th tournament.

I mean, Vegeta said he was the strongest human of the current bunch. He seemed quite young and did not seem too "muscly". Whatever training he got must have had been in line with early Dragon Ball. I REALLY wanted to know what was the deal with him.
