I recall in the past that some anime movies have had limited runs with options for both subbed and dubbed screenings. The live action Death Note movies, for example, had subbed screenings on certain days and dubbed screenings on other days. So there is some precedent for two different versions being screened.

I would personally love it if they had both. I'd like to see it subbed first, then check out the dubbed version with some friends (because I think among people I would go with in real life, only one of them would prefer the subbed version :problem: )

The Dragon Ball Z website has been updated. Similar to the Battle of Gods page, they've made a page on the website dedicated to Resurrection 'F'. Check it out: http://dragonballz.com/resurrectionf/

Perhaps. On the other hand, when FUNimation released the Rebuild of Evangelion movies theatrically, they had both dubbed and subbed screenings. FUNimation's stance has traditionally been that while the majority of their customers are dub-watchers, there are enough dub-and-sub watchers as well as enough sub-only watchers that the only practical kind of release for them is bilingual releases. Having said that, the comparatively lesser audience for subbed screenings resulted in them scheduling far more dub screenings than sub screenings for the Evangelion movies.

Quite frankly, I was surprised they didn't do the same with BoG...which is to say, dubbed and subbed screenings, mostly dubbed. The fact that they scheduled a red carpet North American premiere for RoF that was subbed certainly suggests that they don't have a problem with a subbed screening in principle, though. Maybe they were trying to play it safe with BoG by doing dubbed-only screenings and now feel confident enough to allow for some subbed screenings. Or maybe they couldn't negotiate a subbed screening of BoG with Toei. I dunno. However, I wouldn't be surprised if we see some subbed screenings for RoF.
A "rather haggard" translation of a line from Future Gohan in DBZ, provided to FUNimation by Toei:
"To think of fighting that is this fun...so, it was pleasant fight, as many as, therefore is a feeling which is good the fight where."
