I'd just like them to explain how come he always has crazy hidden powers hiding even though its been unlocked multiple times.

The manga does kind of bring this up; in fact, that's the joke with Old Kai. He's like, "I can unlock your hidden potential! Ever heard of anything like that?" and Goku just says "Yeah...every day...", to which Old Kai retorts something like, "Fool! I can go beyond even those limits!" Which is, I'm pretty sure, Toriyama parodying the whole Time To Unlock More Hidden Potential trope.

It’s because everyone didn’t want to risk losing the next generation of warriors. By the way, they also figured Mister Satan wouldn’t be any help at all, so he’s just relaxing at home in blissful ignorance.

It's funny how they think this, when in reality they never do become the next generation of warriors at the EOZ. Quotes like this would be meaningful if EOZ didn't already predetermine everyone's future.

It's just an in-universe answer. The characters don't know Goten and Trunks don't amount to much at this point, so it's an okay answer for the time frame. Anyway Super might give them a chance to shine.

First thing that popped into my head when you mentioned Free! was Officer!Rin in the second ED. XD
(Someone had him as their avi here for a while.)

The second thing was his and Rei's "perfect body" English in that one next episode preview.

I don't think Gokû has the acting talent to successfully do those moves convincingly.

— The “Dragon Ball” kanzenban have brought in new readers, and I think that as fans it’s only natural that they’d want to see a new “Dragon Ball Z” title. What would you think about making a new anime work about once a year or so?

Toriyama: Oh, I’d like to see that.

Nakatsuru: But by the final chapter, Goku had gotten pretty old. And even after that he was the main character for the anime-original “Dragon Ball GT”. If we’re going to be making stories left and right here, maybe we should rewind time a bit and make them stories set sometime in the past.

Toriyama: I think so too. Instead of continuing the story further and further into the future, it’d be better to do a separate episode style of story development where you go back in time and go “this sort of enemy was here, and this sort of story”. Just say “it wasn’t in the original work, but this sort of story happened”. Maybe that would be better.

This interview is from 2003, after it we got the JSAT OVA, BoG and FnF, all set in the pre-EoZ period, after reading this now I'm even more convinced that Super is not gonna be an exception to this pattern (sadly).

Speaking of the official logo, did anyone else notice that they've now added shading to it on the official site? Oh, and they've uploaded a new, larger header image to the official Twitter account. It's entirely possible that this has already been mentioned in the thread though...

It does look better with shading, I agree.

I still would've liked a completely new font type, but this does at least look better than it did last week.
