Having thought some more, Beerus being awake indicates it being post "F". As he slept for 39 years before BoG, and after BoG we are led to believe he went straight back to sleep, before being woken up by the Saiyans training at his home.
Unless it's a flashback of him destroying some planets years before.

If this does start off as a sequel to Battle of Gods and a prequel to Resurrection 'F' then I hope it progresses to new events set after Resurrection 'F'.

They already confirmed the villain will be stronger then Freeza so it'll move past FNF if it's a prequel.

As I posted before:
Guys, I can see the fuuuuture. I already called that this would take place before EoZ for many reasons. Now, I shall share my gift of foresight to explain the time period further!

Okay, so Super is going to take place before AND after F. It will essentially serve as a bridge at first, taking place during the 2008 OVA era first, and gradually skipping into the F timeline. This will allow them to to reiterate the events that have occurred to people who haven't watched the modern movies and specials. At the same time, it will provide new content for the people who have. I don't expect this to last for many episodes, and you'll prob get glimpses of a new villain during these episodes, all leading to a new character, and eventually, post-F events. It's possible we'll also see Vegeta gain his SSGSS form.

As for EoZ, if the series is successful, expect the 2nd season/saga to finally reach that era.

Or Goku can simply utilizes both transformations. There's two options here.

1. The first few episodes recap the events before RoF and later we get to the post RoF setting.
2. It all takes place after RoF

As far as I know, nowhere was it ever stated Goku can no longer become a SSJ. In fact, he even became one after SSG in BoG. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I missed something, but if Gohan can still become a SSJ in BoG and RoF AKA post-Elder Kai Unlock Ability, how are we to expect that Goku would lose his ability to become the flagship mascot of the entire franchise?

The end of the trailer when Goku has his hand behind his head, laughing; couldn't that be Lord Kaio's world? Its got the same pink hue background.

Could be, could infact be the old King Kai crashes into Goku with his Car, while Goku is the one who's laughing and sorry about it.

That sounds so perfectly Dragon Ball that, that may indeed be the case!

Whoa, I wasn't expecting this until tomorrow! Definitely a great thing to come back from work to find, even if it's so short and really raises more questions than it answers.

A few thoughts on what we did get to see though.

- Guess that really is going to be the logo for the show. I'm still not super fond of it but a logo's just a logo in the end, so I'll manage.
- Whoa, casual clothing Goku, and his outfit from the Jump special no less?! Color me intrigued, very very intrigued.
- I'm not sure what to bet on here between that shot of Super Saiyan Goku being a flashback that's before Battle of Gods/Resurrection F, or if it's a shot that's going to have to be color corrected before the airing (or at the very least before a home release). We still know so little about how SSG operates alongside the SS forms, that maybe it really is possible for Goku to transform without tapping into his God powers. It also seems kind of odd that they'd make a mistake like that so quickly after Resurrection F too...
- Casual clothing for Goten and Trunks too, woot! But...they're still kids...I admit, I'm a little concerned that we're never going to see them aged up at this point. This also fully confirms that the series, at least at it's start, will be pre-end-of-Z which disappoints me since I was really hoping maybe, just maybe, Toriyama would surprise us and finally craft something else that's after the ending, but alas.
- I wonder what's up with that bottle Goten is holding...it's probably much more mundane than anything we'd guess though, just like that egg Beerus had in the first BOG trailers.
- Videl looks ridiculously cute in that shot. It's also nice to see scholar Gohan some more.
- That grin on Mr. Satan's face is priceless. I can't wait to see what he's up to, especially with Boo involved.
- Piccolo's grimace is intriguing as well, but then again, it's like...his default facial expression, so I guess that doesn't really mean anything either.
- Woot for more Beerus and Whis!
- I've seen people comment on that thing trying to eat Trunks being a dinosaur, but I think it's more of a giant snake if anything.
- Please let this Vegeta be more like the character we've had in recent outtings, and not a reversion back to his old ways...I doubt it would be, but if I ever have to sit through more new material of 'I AM THE BEST ARGH WHY AM I LOSING' Vegeta again...
- That definitely does seem to be Goku on Kaio's planet at the end there, so I bet he did almost get hit by the car (again).
- I can't really judge the song until we get to hear it a little better, but as of now it's...eh...it's all right. It'll service.

I'm sure the series will be canceled after 10 episodes if they beat around the bush with needless pre-RoF fluff instead of actually moving forward to what people actually want to see.

I'm sure he's excluding the new cast and probably doesn't even care about any of them. =P
