Well, Yamcha supposedly cheating on Bulma became a new thing come the Android Saga. Bulma would've been used to Goku's naivety and lack of sophistication, as its been present since they first met. She even mentioned at one point that she found Goku's innocence to be adorable.

Plus, she wouldn't be nagging Goku to get a job, considering how she's rich. And Gohan would probably be much stronger, since Bulma would most likely allow him to train as she did with Trunks.

And you have to remember Gohan was only 4 when the series started which is the bare minimum for learning martial arts. Not only that, he would lack the rage boosts product of his docile nature and his potential may not be as high.

Anyways, if it doesn't involve Chi-Chi becoming the powerful Z-Fighter she deserves to be then it's pure garbage to me.

Same would apply to Goten, as he didn't know how to fly until the subject of the World Tournament came by. Bulma would've probably let Gohan teach Goten to fly. And yes, Chi-Chi did train Goten, but she disallowed him to turn into a Super Saiyan, and chances are that Goten would've been stronger if all that training with Chi-Chi was replaced with Gohan.
