Poll: What looks better, Super Saiyan or Bluper Saiyan?

As much as I adore the iconic SSJ transformation, the appearance of SSJGSSJ in motion just carries more of a mystique about it. So I gotta go with SSJGSSJ.

I'm not a fan of the color yellow, but I think the saturated (as opposed to whitish-yellow) Super Saiyan hair somehow looks good. It may be because of the blue complement from training shirts and Saiyan/PTO combat wear.

I do have a notable soft spot for ice blue, so much so I sometimes reconsider whether laser green is still my favorite color. I agree with Toriyama on the notion blue makes Saiyans look more composed than with other colors. I prefer a cunning warrior over a raging one. With that, I'm going with 'Bluper'.

I prefer Super Saiyan, but only because of what it meant for the story in its initial appearance.

Blue is a very calm color, and I think it gives Goku this "master" look (at this point, he pretty much is). That's why Goku's EoZ gi works so well for me, especially since Goku was finally passing down the torch.

Unfortunately, due to Goku's actions in Resurrection 'F', he is far from being a master at martial arts (a basic rule in fighting is to not let your guard down until the fight is over ). And because of that, SSGSS falls short for me.

Well, I am quite fond of the color blue, so while it'd a bit hard to say that it's better than the original, I am rather partial to SSGSS (apart from the blasted name, though even that almost seems like an intentional joke). I definitely prefer it over regular SSG (I love how SSG makes Goku thinner and younger-looking, but other than that it doesn't do too much for me). Though they've got nothing to do with the physical transformation, I also love Goku and Vegeta's new outfits, both of which were clearly designed to go along with the characters having blue hair. In retrospect, Goku probably should have had a new outfit in BoG that would have better complemented SSG (not as part of the actual transformation, just something he happened to be wearing that day).

So...overall, I wouldn't mind an alternate universe where all Super Saiyans had blue hair right from the start, but I can understand people's feelings that blue hair is underwhelming for a big new transformation (that said, in the movie itself we just get Goku going "oh, my Super Saiyan form's a bit different now"; it's not exactly hyped to the roof). Anyway, if nothing else I do appreciate the attempt to move the series away from just being all blond guys all the time.

I like the blue well enough on its own merits and for being something different... but to me it's no substitute for the classic golden tufts. The appearance of Super Saiyan is iconic and powerful.

Hmmm... It's hard to say for me as the original SS form was always my favorite prior to the whole Battle of God and Resurrection F. I'm probably going to change my mind in the future given my fickle nature, but I'm going to go with Bluper Saiyan AKA the terribly named Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan. As Chancey had mentioned prior to me Bluper Saiyan evokes calm and control. To me it never came across as a weak form but more something indicative of mastery and harmony.

Also because everyone hated it when it first came out.

In no shape or form am I downplaying the beauty behind the authenticity of the classic SSJ transformation, but I'm going to have to say that I personally prefer the SSGSS.

I like the original better but I don't think that SSJGSSJ looks all that bad (the only real problem I have with it is the name).

I have to go with Bluper Saiyan on this one. I always loved Blue when I was born and it is still one my favorite colors. I totally agree with the characters looking a lot more calmer and in zen-like state, even Vegeta doesn't seem too angry.
Not to mention the aura looks badass with nice blue shading going throughout!

I somewhat hated this design at first, but it has been growing on me ever since! This is how I felt about SS God too! Maybe I just become way too attached to the Original Super Saiyan design since it was such a key concept in all of the Sagas after Freeza.
My favorite color is magenta so Super Saiyan God is still my favorite and better than Super Saiyan God SS.

I wish someone skilled would take the original SSJ Goku form (from Namek) and do some swapping so it'll look like SSGSS with shading that fits the art from that saga. Also, take SSGSS from F, and do even more swapping to make it look like SSJ.
