A little disappointing that we'll have to wait all the way until after they're done adapting Battle of Gods and Revival of F to see the Universe 6 stuff, but man that is such an interesting, strange, and unexpected way to handle this series. Having the same stories in two different forms with huge differences is so confusing now. I have faith in Toriyama, I expect the entertainment quality will be top notch, I'm just so damn curious as to the reasoning and why he thought having two versions of the same story was a good idea. I mean Battle of Gods is understandable since by the time Toriyama built up a plethora of ideas for that, he was already stuck in the movie format, but why make Revival of F into a film if you knew that this series was coming right around the corner where you knew you were going to end up adapting the movies anyway?

Should we just consider the films Kai versions of Super??

Are heroes traveling across the multiverse in search of a new set of dragon balls, fighting new enemy's and making new allies. Should be a great adventure a Grand Tour you could say.

Well, it's nice to have confirmation about the movie arcs. Also...Super Dragon Balls? Multiversal fighting? Awesome.

I wonder how many people will compare Super to GT because of the new Dragon Balls (heard that comparison at least once).

Why would people compare this to GT? They should compare it to when Goku was a kid because even then he was searching for Dragon Balls.

So more or less this is what would have happened if Toriyama wasn't sick of Dragon Ball back in the day. Like he's decided to go back to the point where he gave up and start from there.

I doubt the remake arcs will last more than a cour each. Heck, together they would be better as one cour. Six episodes each is plenty of time for fun.

I really hope the Revival of "F" arc helps flesh out just how Freeza managed to become so powerful in just 4 months. Maybe we'll get to see that. All of these ideas keep rushing into my head about how Battle of Gods and Revival of "F" will be tied into this. I'm hyped for Super, no doubt about it. I hope it turns out well.

I doubt this will happen, but it's always possible the lenghth of his training could be altered. It's is a stretch given Toriyama's usual lack of care for that sort of thing, but this series litterally makes anything possible.

The Super DBs are rather reminiscent of GT... A series I would've thought they'd avoid paralleling.

If Vegeta grows a mustache and hacks off the top half of his hair, I'm out. Even Princess Vegeta can't save the series if that happens.

I wonder what marriage problems Gohan and Videl are having in the first episode? Deciding where to live? When to start having kids? I don't think Toriyama would write that sort of story, but the former might be true.

Gohan and Videl, regardless of if they are in their first, second or third year of high school (Daizenshu says seconds based on nothing from the actual series), should still be in their second semester of whatever grade after only 6 months have passed from Buu's defeat. Not entirely sure I like them being married, let alone discussing kids at this point.

Not that i have a say in the matter, though it was easier to accept with Goku and Chi Chi because they are uneducated hicks... xD

It's not like they have anything to worry about. They're rich and both strong enough to kill animals with a single punch, if they want to be married at sixteen and their parents don't mind then there is nothing to worry about.

There's an implication of something happening to them. Safest answer is probably a game of "where are we going to live now?" given neither Toriyama nor Toei Animation like to have stories that are anywhere near serious. I assume living with Chi-Chi would drive Videl insane and she'd pressure Gohan to move elsewhere, eventually settling on their own house in the same neighborhood. That's just a random idea, though.

Giant DBs though? Like, the Namekian set? Irony, in the original series Porunga is referred to as Super Shenlong at one point.

I have a good feeling about this show. This is going to be a great adventure just like the Freeza arc.
I still can't belief this is happening Toriyama seems very happy to draw new chars for once. He finally sees how much love DB gets worldwide. Super is going to be SUPER!!!!!! for sure

Only the last of the 3 announced arcs is taking place in Universe 6. The BOG Arc and F Arc are still in Universe 7 and will probably have a shifted timeline placement.
