Krillin tried killing Vegeta less than 50 days before that and I don't recall them protesting about Vegeta killing off Zarbon, Guldo, Recoome, Butta and Jheese, but they might have been too terrified to bother.
It's only Goku and later Gohan, who don't want to kill evil people.

That seems to always be interpreted by fans as lining up with the character Development Goku got after he tried sparing Freeza twice and still got attacked from behind.
Gohan also found out in the Cell Arc, that it's okay to kill evil people.
