The most powerful thing in the universe. :3

You're making sense and at the same time pointing out how inexplicably huge issue it is for some people that they spend page after page coming up with excuses why it shouldn't be done, no matter how small it would actually be. Bra having a girlfriend that we see in 2 episodes or Goten having a boyfriend that we see in 1 episode is just too much for some people to handle which is simply puzzling.TheGreatness25 wrote:I'm just curious how people imagine this being. What would set a gay character apart from a straight character? Dragon Ball isn't about romance, so it's not like there would be a big romance story. At most, a gay character would have someone of the same sex as a husband/wife or whatever. But Dragon Ball not being romance-based, there would be no in-depth relationship between the two. So now you have a character whose ONLY homosexual quality is that he/she has a partner of the same sex, who is a minor character.Unless of course it plays into the comedy somehow, which would become offensive. So really, in what way can a character be homosexual? Lunch could be a lesbian. Just like Chaozu could be homosexual. Hell, Tenshinhan could be homosexual. It does not bring any sort of real grand story to the character because romance is not factored into Dragon Ball and therefore, sexual orientation would not be anything more than a distant background of the character.
I hope I'm making sense. Basically what I'm saying is because DB isn't romance oriented and homosexuality is something that relates to romance, it would not contribute much to a character. And if DB were to take a urn into the romance field, I think it would just ruin the story. So sexual preference wouldn't add much to a character. Yamucha's straight because he had a girlfriend and then chased girls. But none of that was a focus of the story. If he was gay, he'd chase guys. So what? It would be a 30 second filler segment. UNLESS it became such a pivotal part of the character, in which case, it would become a mockery and offensive stereotype if he/she was made to "act" gay.
I love this post ! Whis is such a great character to watchsoulnova wrote:

If I saw Beerus's 2-inch cat penis, I would freak the fuck out.Captain Space wrote:I'd like to mention that in Super episode 3, Whis' reaction to a naked Beerus is to turn away, blush and say words to the effect of "Oh my, Lord Beerus!"
You've just made a powerful enemy. Hey man, it's about girth, not length!Lord Beerus wrote:You've just made a powerful enemy. It's not brought up in any meaningful way, you can read his relationship with Grindelwald is more than platonic. Also, Dumbledore being gay is a piece of trivia that isn't present in the books at all.
He was in the pool!Hey man, it's about girth, not length!
Yeah, but he got out thus he allowed Whis to see his... Nevermind, this is too off-topic!ABED wrote:He was in the pool!

Oh, okay. I never watched Seinfeld. One day I will, though.ABED wrote:It was a Seinfeld reference.

Y'know, I thought it would be pretty funny if Champa's assistant turned out to be Whis's ex-girlfriend. That type of backstory would probably create a lot of funny interactions between the two characters. I really hope I'm right.Polyphase Avatron wrote:I wonder if Champa's attendant is going to be a lesbian
You might read into it or you might not. There's not a strong implication besides strong friendship, which is why "everyone" was surprised when Rowling revealed it. If there had been any kind of strong suggestion or implication, there wouldn't be such a surprise.ABED wrote: It's not brought up in any meaningful way, you can read his relationship with Grindelwald is more than platonic.
I had previously stated that I doubted that a gay or similar character could be included in Dragon Ball without it being jarring or without it seeming like agenda. After seeing the latest things about Whis, including his blushing that basically confirms his gayness, I have to say that they actually succeeded it in doing it because I don't find Whis jarring, nor does he feel like agenda. Well done.soulnova wrote:
