High possibility of amazingly well-done Vegeta-in-awkward-situations, the sequel? :3

This is good news end the night on.

Ah, looks like there's a title there for episode #9, too. Anyone got a translation for that? = )

The camera work will probably be used to highlight Vegeta's ever-increasing discomfort throughout the episode. I'm not sure who is the animation supervisor for the episode, but with any luck it will be someone really good with facial expressions.

Don't know, but it does mention Super Saiyan God(超サイヤ人ゴッド).

It's the same as the title from earlier this week or whatever. So it's basically "I've Made You Wait Beerus-sama. Super Saiyan God is Finally Born!"

Ogawa Kouji storyboarded Episode #8 but isn't directing like he did for Episode #1. Yashima Yoshitaka is the animation supervisor for Episode #9, six episodes after he was for Episode #3. Kitano Yukihiro is the animation supervisor for Episode #7, too.

Translated and added to appropriate page. Still don't have episode 5 credits though... Oh well, we'll get those tonight. I do see our first instance of having the same script writer for numerous episodes in a row. Looks like Toshio is covering the main Super Saiyan God stuff. Nice.

He directed the very best Omega episodes, even in the 2nd season when he wasn't head director anymore, so that's good news.
Tatsuya Oka, the animation director in #6, has a good resumee.
Yukihiro Kitano (#7) is back from the first episode. No problem there.
Akira Kano, who's doing #8, was the animation director in the Episode of Luffy One Piece tv movie. I'm curious to see how his style applies here.
Anyway, now he wave six known animation supervisors working on Super, but Yamamuro didn't get one episode yet. Same for director Chioka, unless he directed #5. Maybe they're covering the end of the fight.

Yoshitaka Toshio wrote the very talky episode 3 and now he's writing three episodes in a row when the main part of the arc starts. Should be an interesting month.

Ooh, Kano Akira? That should be interesting. Episode of Luffy was primarily sub-contracted to Madhouse, so it was pretty much made on an entirely separate side of the industry. I have to wonder if Kano will be able to pull in any connections with talented animators the production supervisor or Chioka Kimitoshi may not have? Actually, if we're talking someone with some sort of tie to Madhouse we might be able to see the brief return of Kan'no Toshiyuki. Kan'no have mainly worked with Madhouse during the past decade and is only brought back to Toei Animation to work on the Dragon Ball films. This could be interesting...then again there is a new Garo cartoon coming up so Kan'no might be preoccupied with that.

Without knowing who is leading Episode #5 it is a bit hard to tell how the main rotation will look. On one hand the use of Ide Takeo and Tsuji Miyako as rotating chief animation supervisors might be to make things easier on Yamamuro Tadayoshi to be an animation supervisor. On the other hand it might also mean Yamamuro only wants to play a very loose role as simply character designer and a kind of 'chief-chief animation supervisor'. During Bleach Kudo Masashi was never personally involved as an animation supervisor or key animator until Episode #118 and Episode #121, he was merely character designer. Additionally, Yamamuro Tadayoshi was only ever character designer for Disk Wars: Avengers, never personally taking any other credit. There's certainly precedent for Yamamuro to stay hands-off. Perhaps we will strike lucky and Yamamuro is merely easing his way out of his time involved in the series.

Well, there's that or he has been asked to direct a new movie. That would be a bitch.

Is King Ryuu a good/fun writer? 6 is the possible-bingo episode. I've heard you mention his name before, but I can't recall the context.

This is more motivation for me to get faster at translating, because if I was faster I could have this read and then go to sleep where instead I fear it'll take too long and it's already late at night so I'll probably peruse the Vegeta-reaction-faces episode summary and look at the rest tomorrow. >_>
Episode 6 - Beers goes to Earth to search for the Super Saiya-jin God. Vegeta tries to politely make him leave. Bulma mistakes him as Vegeta's friend and invites him to the party.

Episode 7 - Vegeta tries to make Beers pleased but when he looks the other way, Beers starts arguing with Boo over pudding. Beers threatens to destroy the Earth.

Episode 8 - Beers hits Bulma and Vegeta transforms into a Super Saiya-jin, releasing tremendous ki like never before. Vegeta attacks at full force but to no avail. Thinking Earth is going to be destroyed by Beers, the pig Oolong, who looks like Majin Boo (what?), challenges him to Janken.

Episode 9 - Just when Beers is going to destroy the Earth, Goku, who has been training in planet Kaiou, appears before him. Goku says he might have a way to find the Super Saiya-jin God.

So the animation supervisor in episode #5 was Naoki Tate. He was villainized by the One Piece fanbase and now will suffer the same fate here, lol.

They got the right person for this episode, a shame he probably didn't have the time to work on all the drawings. Hopefully the gap until the future video release is enough

They're that bad huh?

They should make sure that the fight scenes that are key to the plot should be left with their best talent, like they did for Dragon Ball.
My favourite art style (and animation) outside Toriyama who worked on Dragon Ball: Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, Masaki Satō, Minoru Maeda, Takeo Ide, Hisashi Eguchi, Katsumi Aoshima, Tomekichi Takeuchi, Masahiro Shimanuki, Kazuya Hisada

Does that mean the animation in ep 5 is horrible since Naoki Tate was in charge? - Haven't seen ep 5 yet.

Will episode 5 drawing/animation quality look better there?!
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Just to clear up the misconception, Tate Naoki is an excellent animation supervisor. He only suffers when Toei literally has no plans whatsoever, giving him little time to correct key animators' drawings. He's still one of the best, and we were fortunate to have him back to the franchise.
Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru's #1 biggest fan

No, they're the best animation supervisors working on Dragon Ball Super. They're really good animators, Toma for his expressive faces and Tate for his expressive movement. They're just hated by folks not used to animators being passionate about their work.

Why is any of that bad? Episode #167 is gorgeous and expressive. Damn near all of those examples are in-between drawings from episodes that aired years ago.

Realistically speaking, how probable is it for the animation to be improved in time for the Blu-ray release like Sailor Moon and Saint Seiya? I think Toei would pull this, but Dragon Ball sells even without good animation, so I doubt it.
