*Also still excited for Super.* It's fun. X3

I'm especially excited to see if they'll keep or drop Vegeta's Bingo Dance.

Episode 2 felt like it was foreshadowing the dance with that bit about the MC trying to get Vegeta to come up on stage.

Yamcha: "Hey, a talking cat"
Beerus: " 8) "
Yamcha: "Yo, what's up? Did you know I've been a useless character for over two decades?" *patties Beerus in the back*
Beerus: " "

*Vegeta is on his way to do the bingo dance to prevent the upcoming destruction and to slaughter Yamcha for both his stupidity and worthlessness but suffers a mutation that turns him into a two-right-handed Saiya-jin and collapses on the floor.*

PUDDING !

This make sense for the Bingo dance...

... and here I was expecting something different to happen when it looks like Beerus' rage is going to explode
There's still hope though...

I honestly find it remarkably funny that Yamcha actually touches Beerus' body in a friendly manner as if he was best friends with him, not knowing he just interacted with the (second) strongest warrior in the entire Universe. It's funny that it should be Yamcha, out of all characters, after so many years of being mocked for being a useless and obsolete fighter. If he had any clue who Beerus is and what he just did to Goku, he'd probably kill himself before having to suffer such torture.

Beerus: "Dude, this you just pat me on my back?"
Yamcha: "Yeah :P Welcome to the party."
Beerus: " PUDDING !"
Yamcha: "See that Vegeta guy there? He's thousands of time stronger than me, stole my girl, impregnated and actually indirectly had me killed. I don't like him."
Beerus: "At least he's at a level where he knows better than to pat me on my back. I'll destroy you and rape the Universe for this, do you realize that?"
Yamcha: "Calm down, I was just joking. I would be able to stop you, though, I'm a pretty strong warrior myself."
Beerus: "I'd rather fight that flying f****** cat who's always beside you calling you "Yamucha-sama" than fight you. Were you the one who did the animation and fighting choreography for last week's episode? It must have been you."
Yamcha: "Yeah, and I've done the animation for this episode too. See my scar? It's not even where it's supposed to be :P ."

*Raditz wonders why the f*** Nappa and Vegeta haven't brought him back to life yet. Watches the first episodes of the Namek arc, sees a few pictures of what a Super Saiya-jin is, realizes his power level is tens of times below that of Yamcha and decides to kill himself with a Makankosappo, only to find he can't actually perform it. Proceeds to try to open holes through his chest through another manner.*

Raditz wants to kill his nephew and brother, his nephew and brother want to kill him, Bardock doesn't give a shit about his son, Vegeta watches his dad being martial arts-raped by Freeza and Beerus, Vegeta doesn't give a shit about Raditz, Vegeta executes Nappa, Piccolo kills two brothers with the same attack, Goku doesn't mention his parents once, Vegeta doesn't even mention he has a brother to anyone, Brolly kills his father, Paragas uses his son like a toy. Dragonball is an anthem to fratricide and dysfunctional families.

I really hope that when Funi dubs this they change Beerus's title back to "God of Destruction", why did they decide to change it to "The Destroyer" in their F dub? It was really weird.

Is it really that big of a difference? Also, it's all about fitting mouthflaps. Plus, he's still recognized as a God of Destruction. But instead of his title being, "God of Destruction Beerus", which is really long, it's simply Beerus The Destroyer. Which is literally the same thing.

Only thing I can think of with this is hakaishin and destroyer are both three syllables, where 'god of destruction' is five.

Is it? I'm not all that familiar with Funi dub, so i thought they were shying away from keep calling him a "God"... i think when you call him just "the destroyer", it does lose some of the impact.

Hakaishin Birusu and Beerus the Destroyer are pretty similar in terms of length. God of Destruction Beerus is too long, I assume.

He's still referred to as a God of Destruction in the dub though. Not only that, but Destroyer is a valid translation. IIRC, there's a Hindu "God of Destruction" that's often referred to as "the Destroyer."

Yeah, there's nothing wrong with "Beerus the Destroyer", even if I do dislike it as a translation. Shiva is known as "the destroyer", and I believe in Japanese she is called "Haikaishin Shiva".

This is not Final Fantasy. Shiva the Destroyer is a man. Shiva,Summon of Ice is a woman.

He's still called a God. Numerous times in both BoG and RF.

That's true, a quick web search shows Japanese books and games do often use the title Hakaishin Shiva (破壊神シヴァ). For all we know, FUNi's localization team may have had Shiva the destroyer running through their heads and wanted to have Freeza use that title to reflect how Freeza uses different honorifics than other characters in the Japanese version.

Except that if I remember right he was called "The Destroyer" in Battle Of Gods, too. And FUNi at the time had no prior knowledge of Freeza returning.

Funimation announced Kai back in February 2010. Anyone think that Funimation will announce Super around that time or maybe a bit sooner (I say right after RF comes out on home video in the US).

Is that so? I haven't seen the BoG dub so I didn't know. It's still an acceptable localization. Did FUNi ironically go out of their way to avoid using the word "God" in Battle of Gods?

No, they toss the word "god" around plenty in their dub of BoG, and Beerus is specifically referred to as a god several times. Beerus also calls himself a "Destroyer God" towards the end of their RoF dub. Dende is still "Guardian of Earth" though, but it's probably far too late in the game for them to change that at this point.

Haha, oh dear, how embarrassing. Thanks.

You can blame my recent re-interest Final Fantasy IX for that one.
