Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
I get what you're saying, but I still don't see it as "flying."
If we're going to get technical, then I believe Whis is "warping" rather than "flying" after doing some research on this. Flying is a specific type of transportation, just like teleporting and warping. Or maybe "warping" is a form of teleporting? Honestly, I don't know. It just doesn't look like the flying we have been shown throughout the series. And Whis always leaves by using that staff of his. Flying is supposed to be ki based, why would he need to tap the staff on the ground to activate a warp point (which is what I believe it to be).
Don't want this to get into a heated debate, just wanted to point out that Whis, who is supposed to be a superior to Beerus in power, has not been seen moving from planet to planet, realm to realm, universe to universe, etc. etc., like F-Whis was, which seems to be instantly (yes, in one frame of a single chapter in a manga -- it still counts). Then again, we don't know the differences between Universes. Just thought it was something to point out as much of the Beerus and Whis solo interaction has involved them warping around and chit-chatting about this or that. Has Whis been holding back his speed from Beerus? Is he not capable of teleporting / moving from point A to point B instantly?
That's really what I was going for.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
It could be. All I know is it's not teleportation. There wouldn't be a set time for it nor would he be shown moving through space if it was. And he could very well be channeling his ki into his staff.kizuki wrote:I get what you're saying, but I still don't see it as "flying."

Female Whis has not been shown jumping from planet to planet, realm to realm, universe to universe instantly. The chapter isn't even out yet. You're jumping to conclusions based on what was said. And no, one frame (where are you even getting that all of this happens in one frame/panel?) does not in anyway suggest instant. All we need to do is look back at chapter 2. On one page Beerus and Whis are just taking off from North Kaio's planet and in the next page we see them arriving at Earth. Should we say Whis got there instantly instead of the 3 minutes we know it takes him to get from North Kaio's planet to Earth because the 2 events happened in a few panels? No. Unless we're given a specific time frame then you can't in anyway assume how long it took for them to get there. All it says is that "The two of them arrive at the Kaioshin Realm". Nothing about that suggests they got there instantly. Not to mention we don't even know how far they were from the Kaioshin planet nor does anything suggest she flew there. As for Whis being capable of teleporting and what not, he might be. We just have to wait and see. No need to be in a rush about this. We'll get answers in time.
You're assuming far too many things here without any solid evidence to backup those assumptions. It's best to simply wait.

Is the God Goku pic from Super because I don't recall seeing that specific shot of Goku in BoGs?
I hope it is because the animation there looks pretty damn good.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
So it's 12 episodes a set at £80 a piece. Collecting this series is going to be very expensive. Better than paying more than that for two episodes a set like other series, though!
Just looking forward to seeing what scenes get tidied up!

Jesus Christ, do sets usually cost that much?
They're usually less expensive overseas right? The completed series of FMA Brotherhood is only £45 on Amazon.

Yeah, that'd be cool too, but I could imagine there being some funny reactions from Whis if it was his mother.Lord Beerus wrote:I can Fem Whis being more like Whis' sister, rather than her mum. She looks way too young to be his mum.Sora Saiyan wrote:Thanks for the translation Herms. So can Fem Whis teleport? I can just see her being Whis's mum or something.
This chapter sounds really interesting. I wonder when we're gonna see Champa in the anime.
Kizuki we actually have a feat of Beerus flight speed not being too far behind Whis's staff speed.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Chapter 3 is out online and translated, damn Toyotaro's art is just getting better and better.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Hmm maybe Gotenks will go SSJ3 against Beerus in this weeks episode considering he did against him in the manga.
But then again Gohan is in his fighting outfit in chapter 3 compared to him being in more casual clothes in the anime. Who knows.

I guess it's good then that this is a monthly, since the extra time seems to be helping Toyotarou.
On hiatus.

Nice to see SSJ3 Gotenks, and lightning on Vegeta.
Hoping that carries over to the anime, and Gohan retains his ultimate state for the duration of the series.

Spoiler:
The only assumption I had is that I would be able to hypothesis on something based on what we were given, until we know the facts behind it when the chapter was scanned online. That was the purpose of my original post. I'm okay with being wrong, as I clearly was in this case, that's part of the fun of it. Sometimes, waiting sucks and people would rather share what they think is going on rather than just sit on it and wait. If you don't agree, that's cool -- but I'd like to think that debating on "what will happen next" based off of text translated that hit the internet before the actual manga is scanned for all of us to see is just as safe as debating on whether Bejita is going to go SSJ3 simply because an episode title was released fairly early that would indicate so.
I'll try not to be so direct in my questioning of "what could happen next" going forward, but I honestly don't see myself just sitting here and waiting for the next fact to happen. It's more fun for me to take a guess and see if I'm right or wrong. Sorry to anyone who that genuinely annoys.
In any case, I wonder how the series will handle the whole Champa arriving at the Kaioshin Realm deal during the Beerus vs Everyone fight. That'll be interesting to see.
Also, I do agree that Toyotaro's art is very good -- I'm hoping we get some official, translated release of these at some point soon. Would love to add them to the collection.

It didn't annoy me, so it's all good.kizuki wrote:I did mention in my first post, "unless they're on a planet pretty damn close to the Kaioshin Realm" and as it appears from the scans they are in the middle of space, they could indeed be closer than we know.Spoiler:
