Crossovers you want to see happen

There's no denying the concept of crossovers between two usually unrelated universes crosses the minds of a fan of virtually anything at least once and Dragon Ball fans are no exception. So, in a world where you could smash two series together for whatever reason, which two (or perhaps more) would you pair with Dragon Ball? I myself would love to see a Warcraft 3 & DB one where the Burning Legion invades the pre-Z DB world as they are an army of dimension crossing, planet raising invaders and have some extremely powerful beings to boot. What series would you cross over, how and why?

Gohan and Videl have a crossover story with Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso, set after the end of the original story. Gohan and Tsubaki bond over unrequited love with Videl and Kousei. Eventually the two help the other confess. Feels precede a nice ending.

DBZ/invader zim...vegeta meeting GIR XD

dbz/high school dxd because roshi/issie with Rias and Akeno HAHAH XD

Just gonna roll through a list here.

Dragon Ball x Fairy Tail, I think there is a lot of cool combo attacks and character interactions here. I think Goku and Natsu would get along great from the very start. Also all the reactions to Gray from the DB characters...priceless.

Dragon Ball x Needless, Again a lot of interesting interaction possibilities here! Adam Blade and Goku would have some silly moments I believe. _{Also I think Vegeta and Saten would become fast friends.}

Dragon Ball x Groove Adventure Rave (AKA Rave Master in the states.), I wanna see Future Trunks vs Haru Glory in the greatest sword fight to end all sword fights! Imagine Trunks fighting against the Ten Commandments! IT'D BE AWESOME!

Dragon Ball x Saint Seiya, The universe shall never survive this crossover but I'm ok with that.

I really think that's it for me...I'm sure I'll come up with more later but those are my top four.

Dragon Ball x Precure! I just want to see Vegeta having to team up with a bright and happy, frilly precure! Just to see the look on his face! Preference? Happiness Charge! Goku and Honey would get along like two peas in a pod over food.

Nah, I honestly would like to see a cross-over between Goku and Toriko. Since the cross-over special introduced me to Toriko.

It would at the very least give us some really good battle animation. Precure always gets Toei's cream-of-the-crop. Go!Pri's been pretty awesome animation-wise (and Vegeta made a sort-of cameo in it a month or so back, during the festival episode.)

Doing a crossover with them would mean we'd get amazing action sequences!

It would have to be the Dragon Ball characters in a slice of life setting that doesn't revolve around fighting. I can't think of any manga series out there that has any threats that would make anyone of significance in DB blink.

Fujii Shingo, the key animator of your example, is a freelance animator, so he's only working on PreCure because he loves the franchise.

Still, I would love a Dragon Ball and PreCure movie to have a scene like this and this.

Forget Old Kai, it's the Supreme Kai of Time who I wanna see react to the Doctors existence. I can already see FT wishing he had the TARDIS so he didn't get in trouble with her.

I'm in agreement there. It's comedy gold waiting to happen. I think Rias/Akeno could react even better to someone like Gohan or Goten who are much more shy and pure of heart. Also the two series mix semi decently as it is. I'm writing a crossover fic actually about it lol

I remember someone once making a joke about how hilarious it'd be to see the gang from Rurouni Kenshin trying to deal with Yajirobe. I thought it was a clever idea then, and I still think it'd be something I'd pay good money to see.

Other than that...it's really hard for me to say, since there's so few things that have the same kind of feel as Dragon Ball, so at best, most things I also like a ton wouldn't really fit - outside of if they did some kind of five minute gag thing or something. Which would still be fine, I guess, but if we ever got another crossover with Dragon Ball, I'd want it to be something more...substantial...than what previous ones have given us.

That said though, an obvious answer is One Piece, as it's probably the series that comes the closest to capturing a similar feeling as Dragon Ball. Yu Yu Hakusho would be pretty neat as well, but I'm not entirely sure as to how it would work. The tones would clash pretty badly probably, not to mention the art, but I'd be interested in seeing something with JoJo's Bizarre Adventure as well - just seeing DB characters, who are so used to fighting themselves, deal with people who's primary fighting involves Stands with some insanely over-the-top powers, would be an interesting experience.

Something I'd really like to see, but would never happen, would be a short-ish (like, say, a year's run series that's around 52-54 episodes) anime that takes the idea of something like J-Stars, and mashes up a bunch of Jump characters and worlds into a bit of an amalgam world - as in we'd be expected to more or less know who these characters are, but they be introduced in a way that explains them well enough at the same time - and go from there. I'd want it to have something a bit more fleshed out for a plot than what J-Stars has, but still something that's not really 'important' in the context of any of the individual series - just a fun romp with a lot of our favorite characters interacting.

I once daydreamed about a series that combined Dragon Ball just after the Twenty-Third Tenka'ichi Budoukai with One Piece and Toriko. The villain organization from Toriko would team up with Piccolo and Baroque Works from One Piece to get the Dragon Balls, using one another to try and achieve their master plans at first. As their alliance began to show signs of being unable to stop the respective protagonists they would turn on the other and more openly try to sabotage the other.

Piccolo would be a bit of a solo act, though, so maybe it would be smarter to go with Piccolo Daimaou instead? Or the Red Ribbon Army? Or just have the reincarnated Piccolo create his own demon clansman?

Personally, I think the only sort of crossover with Dragon Ball that would really work is if Toriyama wrote the dialogue for his characters or at the very least someone intimately in love with Toriyama's sort of dialogue and characterization would write it. The Dragon Ball characters in Toriko Episode #99 and One Piece Episode #590 totally lacked their usual depth of flavor. Mind you, this is typical for projects not overseen by Toriyama, but it sucks either way.
