I have Kuririn at around 200,000 as he was stated to be of some help against a foe who could increase his power to above 530,000. Vegeta at 250,000 also doesn't make any sense, seeing as how he was able to hold Freeza in place and make him exert effort, even though Vegeta was out of breathe at the end of the scuffle. 480k works way better.

The design of this list was totally inspired by Victorious' list. Enjoy :D

You have a 2 hour edit window. After that you cannot edit anymore.
Hmm, it sucks. I wanted to edit some power levels because I realized I made a typo.

If anyone can edit to me, I'd be grateful. It's future Trunks' (age 14) power level. His SSJ is supposed to be 7,700,000 rather than 385,000,000.

Okay. Thanks dbgtFO and Kaboom. :)

What power levels given in the guidebooks do you disagree with? How would you re-write them? That's the power levels given, as far as I'm aware:

Goku (beginning of DB) : 10
Tsuru-sennin : 120
Chi-Chi (23rd Budokai) : 130
Roshi (22nd Budokai) : 139
Tenshinhan (22nd Budokai) : 180
Goku (22nd Budokai) : 180
Karin-sama : 190
Cyborg Tao Pai Pai : 210
Kami-sama : 220
Piccolo Daimao (youth restored) : 260
Chaozu (Saiyan saga) : 610
Goku (23rd Budokai) : 910
Yajirobe (Saiyan saga) : 970
Mr. Popo : 1,030
Yamcha (Saiyan saga) : 1,480
Kuririn (Saiyan saga) : 1,770
Tenshinhan (Saiyan saga) : 1,830
Piccolo (Saiyan saga) : 3,500
Nappa : 4,000
Goku (post Kaio training) : 8,000
Kuririn (vs Ginyus) : 13,000
Gohan (vs Ginyus) : 14,000
Dodoria : 22,000
Zarbon : 23,000
Vegeta (vs Ginyus) : 30,000
Kuririn (Freeza saga) : 75,000
Gohan (Freeza saga) : 200,000
Vegeta (Freeza saga) : 250,000
Goku (vs Freeza) : 3,000,000
Freeza (100%) : 120,000,000
Goku SSJ : 150,000,000

If there weren't these numbers, what'd be yours?

Trunks could be way stronger than he was against the Cell Juniors and yet be no match against Dabura in SSJ. Here's a numerical example of how this could work:

Trunks SSJ (Cell Games) : 64
~post 3 years : 75
~post sword training : 96
Goku SSJ (Cell Games) : 100
Dabura : 115
Gohan SSJ (Cell Games) : 140

One-shot gaps aren't linear. 50% Freeza (after Goku's KMHMH) also couldn't one shot a tired base Goku, who could even get up on his feet after this.

I also don't think Kaioshin needed to paralyze Dabura. Trunks, after becoming a SSJ2, landed a bunch of punches and kicked him twice, to which Dabura resorted to his spear. Kaioshin paralyzing Dabura was probably just him wanting to make things simpler to Trunks (showing his cautious nature again) IMO.

What's your guys gap between Goku SSJ1 (Cell Games) and Gohan SSJ1 (Cell Games). I don't think it should be pretty big, seeing as how Cell only increased his speed against Gohan:

Chapter: 404 (DBZ 210), P6.4
Context: after fighting Gohan a little
Cell: “You’re a quick little brat…! How about I go all-out, in speed at least?”

But still the Boo saga implies there's a pretty large gap between them. Kid Gohan was said [by Vegeta] to be far, far better than Teen Gohan:

Chapter: 444 (DBZ 250), P7.1-4
Gohan: “Well, I’ve become a Super Saiyan. Now what? Is it alright if I fight like this?”
Kibito: “…Wh-what tremendous power…I can’t believe he’s a being of the lower world!”
Vegeta: “…Hmph…That bastard, he was far, far better when he killed Cell. It’s because he slacked off in his training during peacetime…”

I doubt anyone would have SSJ1 teen Gohan way weaker than Cell Games Goku, if at all.

But Cell increased his speed against Gohan. He wasn't using the exact same level he used against Goku, since initially he couldn't even touch Gohan. Also, do you think his battle power increased alongside with his speed increase?

How do you see Cell's line of "What if I go all out, in speed at least?" ? Does he increase just his speed, or his power as well? Also, did he use full speed, or just the speed his current power output allowed him?

I think the latter question is simpler. Cell probably used only the speed that matched his suppressed powers.

But how about the former one? Based on the wording, it seems Cell just increased his speed, that is, there was no power up, he just matches the speed with what it should be. So:

Option A
Cell's chi: 100
~Power : 100
~Speed : 83
~Real speed : 100

And, therefore, gets no power up from the speed increase. That seems likely based on the wording, but the problem is that would put Cell's power way too much ahead of Goku's power, which doesn't seem implied. So we also got another option:

Option B
Cell's chi: 83
~Power : 83
~Speed : 83
~Speed increase : 100
~Power increase : 100
~Now current chi goes to : 100

That seems to be batter matched with Goku vs Cell, but it's unlikely according to the wording.

Thoughts?

Regarding Cell's discussion, I'd like to go with option A, which is like:

Goku FPSSJ : 80
Gohan FPSSJ : 100

Cell (vs Goku)
~Power : 100
~Speed : 90

Cell (vs Gohan)
~Power : 100
~Speed : 100

But I find two problems with it:

1) If Cell only increased his speed to match his current power output, then his power would be too much ahead Goku, moreso than the fight suggests.

2) Cell said he'd go all out, in speed at least, clearly indicating he'd not go all out in power. If so, how'd speed be = power?

So it lets me another option:

Goku FPSSJ : 80
Gohan FPSSJ
~power : 90
~speed : 100

Cell (vs Goku)
~power : 90
~speed : 90

Cell (vs Gohan)
~power : 90
~speed : 100

But it also has its problems:

1) This would mean Gohan's speed and power are unbalanced;
2) This would also mean Cell can increase his speed past the level of his power, which doesn't make sense. I mean, how do you take speed from nowhere?

What a headache lol.

Base Vegetto would have to be more than 400x above base Goku, considering he was giving a good fight to Boohan, while Bootenks was dominating SSJ3 Goku.

Yes, that's what he said.
He said base Vegetto has to be at least 400x stronger. He has to be more than 400x stronger for sure. That's what I'm saying.

Do you guys think 2nd form Freeza was initially over a million? Or was that to his 2nd form full power?

No. Daizenshuu 7, Dabra's bio.
You even point out the contradiction was in that guidebook, so it obviously wasn't in Daizenshuu 2 :?
dbgtFO, what do you think about my question? Do you think Freeza 2nd form was initially at 1,000,000+ or this number was just for his full power?

I also interpret that instance as Yajirobe being close to Goku rather than being Cymbal's tier. After struggling a bit, Yajirobe admitted he was just doing his exercise, to which he easily dodged Cymbal's chi attack and one-shotted him with his sword.

RandomGuy96 wrote:Fun fact from Daizenshuu 7.
Barrier
First Appearance: Chapter 367
Category: ki manipulation
People: Artificial Human No.17, Cell, Vegetto
Special Characteristics: A technique where they use ki to create a barrier around themselves, guarding against their opponents’ attacks. It can guard against ki attacks, as well as physical attacks such as missiles. What’s more, Vegetto succeeded in avoiding being absorbed by Majin Buu (evil). However, in order to use Barrier, they must constantly emit ki. In order to cancel out the physical attacks and ki attacks of their opponents, they must emit at least twice their opponents’ ki.
This confirms two things:

1. If you're emitting twice your opponent's power, their attacks will do exactly zero damage on part of being totally canceled out. Takes Raditz at 1,500 and Piccolo at 408 at the beginning of the series. Raditz is emitting that battle power just by standing there, acting as a passive defense. Piccolo exerts his 408 battle power offensively. He punches or blasts Raditz. Raditz's passive defense falls substantially above the 816 minimum to completely cancel out Piccolo's attack. Raditz takes zero damage.

2. If you are equal to your opponent, you can amplify your defense much like you could amplify your offense, as seen when 17 takes no damage from the Hellzone Grenade. Say Piccolo and 17 both have battle powers of 300 million; this is their default battle power when standing around or throwing a regular punch. Piccolo throws a bunch of small energy balls, each with a battle power of about 300 million (i.e. same energy/time as his normal blows) and about the same volume as his fist. These are equivalent to his punches. 17 engages his active defense and boosts the ki he's emitting to defend himself from 300 million to 600 million. He sustains this as Piccolo's energy balls, each with a battle power of 300 million, are canceled out along the surface area of 17's ki defenses, doing no damage. On the other hand, were Piccolo to charge up a Special Beam Cannon and fire it at a battle power of e.g. 900 million, its power/intensity would greatly exceed 17's active defense, and would breach his ki defenses and subsequently drastically damage his body.

Another thing to note: in this case Piccolo's Hellzone Grenade still had far more energy than the Special Beam Cannon, due to the great volume of the combined attack. Just less intensity as a result of a lower energy transference rate, and thus less power. So it fails on 17's defenses regardless.
#17's barrier should have had at least a battle power of 600 millions in order to work as a defense, right? But it could have a BP of around 1 billion, let's say, no?
