Here's a new challenge:

Power-scale Z (anime), Super (anime), and GT to these conditions:

1. Movies must be included (Dead Zone before Raditz Saga; World's Strongest, Tree of Might, Lord Slug, and Cooler's Revenge during the three-year training for the Androids; Super Android 13! during the events of episode 147, after Goku tells Vegeta and Trunks about the Chamber, but before they actually enter; The Return of Cooler, The Real 4-D, Broly 1, and Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans during the 10 day wait; Movie 9 after the Other World Saga; Movie 10 between episodes 207 and 208; Movie 11 after Goku returns to Other World; Movie 13 after episode 287; and 2008 OVA after Movie 13. Movie 12 can be excluded - see below).
2. Shin Budokai should be included during the gap between Yo! Son Goku and the start of Super.

Basically, COMPLETELY overhaul the power scaling system to bring the movies, Super, and GT in line with one another.

Any takers for my challenge?

It is not possible to include GT in this. What's shin budokai?

Probably have asked this before, but what is the gap you guys have between C-17 and C-18?

So, after finishing the manga, I would like to see your fellows input in two situations in order to complete my battle power list:

1- How strong was Piccolo back in the fight against Android #20 (Dr. Gero)?
2- Did Gohan receive a rage boost on top of his SSJ2 at the Cell Games?

I would like if you also come up with an explanation for these questions.

1. Piccolo was implied to be nowhere near super-saiyans level. However, he was far above base saiyans.
Dr gero was atleast comparable to vegeta BEFORE he absorbed his blast and piccolo's energy, and this vegeta just oneshotted #19 with a lot of power absorbed. If piccolo was strong enough to two-shot him, then he should be well above atleast half the power of super-saiyans. I put him at 95 million compared to 150 million for super saiyans.

It also explains how he is able to fight evenly against android 17 with his power doubled.

2. It is entirely possible, because if you go by SEG multipliers, then half power SS2 gohan would be SS1 gohan level but half power SS2 gohan was briefly able to hold off SPC's super kamehameha. Even regular perfect cell would have overpowered SS1 gohan with ease.
However, there is one problem, that is, fat buu. Majin vegeta lost to fat buu, despite him being only twice as strong as weakened non raged SS2 gohan.

And one last question, how about Super Perfect Cell? Is he close to ssj2 kid Gohan? I remember he saying he had powered up like Gohan and felt confident this time.

He is about 75-80% of kid gohan's full power. Half power gohan was able to hold him briefly but was getting overpowered. When he released his full power, he annihilated him.

What's your guys gap between Goku SSJ1 (Cell Games) and Gohan SSJ1 (Cell Games). I don't think it should be pretty big, seeing as how Cell only increased his speed against Gohan:

Chapter: 404 (DBZ 210), P6.4
Context: after fighting Gohan a little
Cell: “You’re a quick little brat…! How about I go all-out, in speed at least?”

But still the Boo saga implies there's a pretty large gap between them. Kid Gohan was said [by Vegeta] to be far, far better than Teen Gohan:

Chapter: 444 (DBZ 250), P7.1-4
Gohan: “Well, I’ve become a Super Saiyan. Now what? Is it alright if I fight like this?”
Kibito: “…Wh-what tremendous power…I can’t believe he’s a being of the lower world!”
Vegeta: “…Hmph…That bastard, he was far, far better when he killed Cell. It’s because he slacked off in his training during peacetime…”

I doubt anyone would have SSJ1 teen Gohan way weaker than Cell Games Goku, if at all.

The gap should not be too big. Cell games gohan was still crushed by suppressed perfect cell in a bear hug.

Definitely stronger than super vegeta, going by the fights of cell jr (way stronger than initial perfect cell) vs piccolo and Super vegeta vs initial perfect cell.

Well, I don't think so. All Tenshinhan managed to do in his bout against Goku was match up against his speed.
He was maybe on par with weighted Goku at most. No one ever comments that he's stronger than Piccolo Daimao.
He's still inferior to God, as he does not surpass him until he trains with Mr. Popo for about an year.

Besides, I don't understand how Tenshinhan would be able to go from below 50% of Old Piccolo Daimao to being stronger than Young Piccolo Daimao. The only thing we knew about his training was that he climbed Karin Tower.
Karin told Goku that he had nothing else to teach him, the only way for Goku to get stronger was to drink the choushinshui.

If this was Dragon Ball Super though, then I'd say he'd have gotten stronger than Ginyu at least, because he trained for well over four months [/spoiler]

Karin told Goku that he can beat "young" piccolo daimao by training for 2-3 years, and Karin had no idea Goku is a saiyan.

Tenshinhan was the ONLY person who sensed piccolo daimao's full power, no one else did. So who would mention that and why?
Tenshinhan actually matched in strength a goku who was "far above what he was 3 years ago". Tenshinhan did not have disproportionate speed, weighted goku had disproportionate speed (vastly improved in strength but same in speed)

And yes, he is extremely inferior to God.

How strong do you guys have Goten, Trunks and Gotenks (Pre and post HTC)? They powers confuses me. Goten and Trunks as SSJs scared 18 with a ki blast, but some people still but they under her, and sometimes under the SSJs from Android arc. Gotenks bugs me too, people put him at SSJ3 Goku because Goku said to Buu Gotenks stronger than him, but it was just a guess! And why some people put his post HTC base at Majin Vegeta? This is insanely powerful!

Around the level of cell juniors, in between cell jr and CG piccolo.
Gotenks is weird, but I don't use the same multipliers for fusions as I do for single characters.

Anyway, what multiplier do you guys have for Frieza's golden form? I go with 2.5x personally.

Would it be right to say Pre RoSaT Super Saiyan Goten and Trunks are above Piccolo?

No. Piccolo was stated to be far above trunks by vegeta, who hasn't met piccolo since BoG, where piccolo was presumably not too much stronger than where he was at buu arc.
Then there is also piccolo getting excited to fight in 25th TB.

How strong can you make the fusions through maximum wanking? This is my attempt using Buu Arc Base Goku as a measuring stick:

Pre-RoSAT: He was able to survive an encounter with Majin Buu who'd easily killed Vegeta in Base, so this places him well above SSJ2 level. However he couldn't win whereas SSJ3 Goku could, so he's a bit below SSJ3 level.

Post-RoSAT: He's implied to have far surpassed his Pre-RoSAT SSJ in base as Piccolo thinks he'd get crushed as an SSJ Pre-RoSAT but gains hope when he sees Base Gotenks Post RoSAT, so that's a 100x boost at least.

SSJ: 2,000,000x Goku

Vegetto:
DBZ: In the anime he's implied to be about as strong as or stronger than Buuhan in base, and Buuhan has Ultimate Gohan's power who's far superior to Gotenks, therefore he's already the strongest being in Z in base.
Base: 50,000,000x Goku.
SSJ: 2,500,000,000x Goku.

Super: First we have to establish SSGod and SSBlue's multipliers. SSGod is far superior to SSJ3 BoG Vegetto who would be a good deal stronger than Buu Arc Vegetto, so let's say SSJ3 Vegetto is at 30,000,000,000x Goku and SSGod Goku is at 150,000,000,000x Buu Arc Goku.

Goku then absorbs this power into base and gains SSBlue which is SSJ combined with the power of SSGod, so let's say it's 50x SSGod's multiplier. This would be a 5,000,000,000,000x multiplier on top of his new SSGod level base which would put him at 750,000,000,000,000,000,000,000x Buu Arc Goku.

Goku then improves a great deal by the tournament and unlocks Kaioken x10, and then by the Trunks Arc he surpasses his Kaioken x10 level in regular SSBlue, so let's say he's become 100x stronger than he was at the start. This would put him at 75,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000x Buu Arc Goku.

Now for Vegetto's power:
Base: 750,000,000,000,000,000,000x Goku.

I want to know how strong everyone predicts these fighters to be in these hypothetical scenarios:

Vegeta, Goku, Nappa and Raditz - Ten years after Raditz recruits Goku successfully;

Kuririn - Died against Nappa, trained with the others at Kaio's for the same amount of time as Tenshinhan and Chiaotzu;

Cell - Seven years after the Cell Games, where he defeated everyone before Gohan turned SSJ2.

Please justify your predictions. Hopefully this will generate interesting discussion. Even though this is the thread to post lists, brute numbers without the thought process doesn't stimulate anything, bar the odd figure here and there.

Goku would still have drive to get stronger than everyone. He would train and spar with the saiyans, eventually surpassing Nappa. Raditz doesn't change much. Vegeta trains a bit to keep up with the "prince of all saiyans" title and the fight he has with Cui gets him a zenkai.
Goku = 9761, Raditz = 2010, Nappa = 7990, Vegeta = 21000

76,000. Based on filler of Tien and Yamcha handling ginyu-force members easily and no indication of any human ever getting above ginyu. Him being as strong as Tien helps a lot here in this power up.

Cell is not a type of person who would like to train. He would remain at the exact same level or barely increase.

A few remarks:

• Major metallitron is too high. He shouldn't be that high. Most certainly not equal to Tao pai pai which is plain wrong.
• Chiaotzu should e above king chappa. Goku needed to power up twice against krillin before he beat him, and chiaotzu was giving him trouble.

So I though of a little game for this thread. If people like it maybe I can do it irregularly.

Basically you have to guess the power level of the characters in three scenarios I will make up.

Rules: You have to write the reason for the number you've given, in this thread. Answers like "because x trained" will not suffice, please put a little effort into it.
PM me the number, don't post it here with your explanation! This is important for the scoring.

Scoring: The winner is the one closest to the average number guessed of all participants. For example, if the average for x scenario is 100 and player 1 guesses 99, while player 2 guesses 80, player 1 wins.

How strong would Piccolo be, if he went to train with Kaio instead of Goku, after the Raditz battle?

Scenario 2
If Nappa survived the battle against Goku and later followed Vegeta's path. How powerful would he get by the start of the Boo arc?

If instead of drinking the Ultra Divine Water, Goku had trained for some years like Karin suggested to face Piccolo Daimao. Let's say 3 years.

Gohan's clearly an FPSSJ. Goku says Dabura isn't much of a threat before anyone knows he can go SSJ2, and nobody rebuts him. Vegeta is still surprised when Goku uses SSJ2 against Yakon, so SSJ Goku > Dabura.

Which is inconsistent, seeing how trunks (trained with Z sword for longer than Gohan did) should be above post Z sword gohan let alone pre Z sword gohan, and was losing to Dabra. Even SS2 trunks didn't horribly stomp Dabra and needed Kaioshin's help.
Also, Kaioshin mentioned how kibito wasnt there to watch Gohan's "awesome power" which strongly hints he's above what level he was at budokai.
Then there is heavy implication that Gohan is having trouble because of lack of training, not because of using a weaker form.

Also, goku doesn't know everyone can go SS2, but he also says a few years ago he would've been a powerful opponent. It proves he has reached the level of perfect cell or surpassed him. Not to mention later goku says he underestimated dabra who's way stronger than he thought.



Everything except the art points out at Gohan being SS2, which is an inconsistency.

Goku was referring to Dabura's ability to use magic when he said that.

Also, Vegeta also says Dabura won't be much of a problem, he repeats this when Goku says the line you're quoting, yet Goku's still surprised when he reveals he has SSJ2, thus SSJ Vegeta > Dabura, and SSJ Vegeta is confirmed to be much weaker than SSJ Goku which was why he intentionally fell under the Majin spell, to boost his power to Goku's level.

I can buy SSJ Goku reaching Perfect Cell level after 7 years, but not Vegeta who's well below his level , especially since this would mean Goku was considerably more powerful than Cell.

Vegeta is infamous for bragging. You can't just decide someone's power level on his statements of bragging. He also said he would win a tournament without transforming with Piccolo in it. Not to mention it is heavily implied that vegeta reached SS2.

1. Goku was never surprised that vegeta became SS2, he was surprised that Vegeta was equal to him. So SS vegeta > Dabra is false

2. Goku did not know how powerful vegeta was, how would he know? He obviously meant dabra is weaker than him.

3. When goku/vegeta first said that Dabra is not too much, it was when he was suppressed. Goku based off on his movements to be around cell level.

4. It is heavily implied that gohan is doing the best he can

However, despite considering this all, you can't ignore feats over some vague statements, and feats show him superior to post Z sword trunks, who is >= post Z sword gohan who's >> pre Z sword gohan. and that's both anime and manga.

Tien vs trunks is movie. Anyways,

Yamcha is nearly as strong as Tien who is nearly as strong as Krillin. All humans have been able to keep up with base saiyans, atleast up to ROSAT, as evident by Krillin's performance against imperfect cell, Tien and Yamcha briefly holding off a cell jr etc.

Olibu was weaker than weighted pikkon, who himself was weaker than Base goku (cell games). By buu arc, Yamcha has surpassed cell games base goku.
Yamcha > CG base goku > Pikkon > Olibu becomes Yamcha >>> Olibu.

The gap between Yajirobe and Cymbal wasn't all that large and Yajirobe put up a pretty decent fight against Goku, though. And how do you end up with Piccolo Daimao at only 216? He should be a lot stronger than that.

Let's say Goku was at 30 pre-Karin and got up to 80-90 post, and then further powered up to 100 over the next 3 years until the 22nd Budokai. Let's say Goku was at 30 pre-Karin and got up to 80-90 post, and then further powered up to 100 over the next 3 years until the 22nd Budokai. I don't think that's possible. Tien is 250 in DBZ, and is obviously stronger than his 23rd Budokai counterpart. That Tien is confirmed to be stronger than Young King Piccolo, as Tien was able to surpass with his speed to a Weighted Goku who was equal in speed to Young King Piccolo. I'd say King Piccolo is still above the 206 number of DBZ Krillin, and both could make a very good fight.
About Old King Piccolo's strenght, I think we shouldn't take that "less than half of his power" for Old Piccolo. Also, since Roshi was 139 on DBZ, that means that 22nd Goku and Tien are above that. And Old King Piccolo has to be much stronger than that, but weaker than the 206 of Krillin. I'd say Old King Piccolo is around 180.
