That's why I usually watch my DVD's in my entertainment room. We have blinds, and my TV's in front of the Window. Not to mention the fact that it's an awesome TV

Buy some damn blinds or curtains. They're not expensive. I can get my entire house pitch black if I really felt like it. If you don't want to buy blinds or curtains just cover you're windows up with aluminum foil, it's what I do to some of my windows in the summer time, it saves on cooling costs.

You logic just astonishes me. No one said you'd be a bad fan for buying/liking the new sets. Plenty of people here bought them (primarily because its the first time these eps have been completely released with subtitles).

But beyond that, all of your posts' logic is just flawed discussing image quality. Please pay attention to others when they try to explain those flaws (even if they are hostile). You only lose credibility.

WTF :?: ? I was just talking about how all of my DVD's look better on my Big Screen TV at night when the sun isn't out. Did you not see my last post? I watch all of my stuff on my other TV, I just mentioned the Big Screen one. When I watch it on the one in my entertainment room, It's better because of the different screen, and the video settings. You seemed to have made that statment without even looking at the other stuff I said

I absolutely despise Schemmel's new dubbing voice. It's quite horrifying actually. It's too soft and squeeky.

I really like the original Japanese music as the primary English track on the boxset. Gives it a more "original feel".

You know what Schemmel should have done? Played Goku like how he did in the 23rd Budokai. That was perfect, It was the only time I thought that he played Goku without sounding like a saturday morning superhero.

I have two DVD players and two TV's in my room, and I watched both the original DVD's and the sets at the same time. There's a huge improvement, trust me. No grain, and I changed my video settings, so the colors are how they supposed to be: unsaturated, not too bright, or anything. It looks just like the JPN masters.

So, it's a 'huge improvement'... the colors are how they are supposed to be, just like JPN masters, but they would look terrible on your TV? Would the DragonBox vids they look terrible at night, or is it just that the widescreen releases look good only in the daytime? Makes no sense (as I believe Ex-Dubbie369 pointed out).

jjgp1112 wrote:Actually, I enjoyed it the way it was, and then I figured, "Oh wait, I know how to make it look like the Japanese colors!". I used to mess around with lots of DVD's as far as colors went.
But you can say all of this with how much certainty seeing how you don't own any of the Japanese discs to actually view on your TV? Makes no sense.

And just like balrog said, I didn't really notice any problems besides the occasional ugly shot or split-second things.
I addressed this in the another response in this thread. Adjusting settings one way to fix one color alters others and in no way produces an equal picture. Makes no sense (as I believe SatoSky pointed out).
jjgp1112 wrote:The complaint about the letterbox is really just a reason to bitch about it. Nothing really improtan gets cropped out. Who cares if you can't see Goku's halo a few times? And just like I said - enjoy it for what it is, instead of complaining about it.

I'm fairly certain the views for the Dragon Box and FUNI releases are pretty consistent on these boards. You'll find that a lot of people prefer the single FUNI releases over the new box sets if they cannot afford any imports and they enjoy them just fine. If this is how you feel even bother to sign up? There are other boards where you can find other opinions.

You're still not reading anything I said. For the season boxsets, I watch it on other TV that doesn't make anything look terrible, and it's the one where I changed the settings to give it the Japanese colors (I've seen pics of the Dragon Box, and I already know how dark Piccolo's skin is in the JPN version). I just pointed out that my big screen TV would make the Dragon Box and other DVDs look terrible, which is why I don't watch it on the big screen TV, because the sun blocks it out. My smaller TV doesn't have the sun blocking things out, which you would've known if you ACTUALLY READ MY POSTS. I'm done with you guys. I don't have to deal with this shit on IGN's Dragon Ball boards. Not only that, but it didn't fix one color. You guys are saying things about my settings and haven't even fucking looked at them.

Your "settings"? You mean...
Brightness: 100
Contrast: 60
Color: 50
Sharpness: 80
Tint: 50
Yeah, those are really helpful in proving a point. How about giving us some proof? Like some "pictures" so we can "see" that you're not "blowing shit out of your ass".

We're not trying to antagonize you, but you just showed up here and said "these sets look better than anything else" and completely failed to back up such claims. We showed proof of what the sets look like in comparison to other releases, while you said "brightness 100".

I honestly couldn't give less of a fuck about you leaving the board. Honestly - you're starting to piss me off as much as ETC123. But you came here for a reason: we know our shit, and can provide evidence to back it up. You came here for verification of your theory, and are now acting like a crying cunt about getting proven wrong.

As we've all said before, you're not a bad fan for liking the release; you're not a bad fan for buying it; you're not a bad fan for liking the dub. But that doesn't mean you can say shit like it's a fact and not back it up - facts are goddamn science, and science is evidence.

I hate the "Pics or it didn't happen mentality". What I'm saying about the TV settings are true, and really, I don't care anymore if you guys think I'm bullshitting. If I'm gonna post about the set, I'll do it on the IGN boards, where I don't have to deal with all of this.

"All this"... logical thought? "All this"... demand for evidence?

You said "they look better than the UUEs, and can look just like the Dragonbox."

We said "really, that's hard to believe because of this and this and this..."

And you said "just change your settings to this."

And we said "that doesn't help us, we have different TVs. Can you take "pictures" to show us?"

And you cried "you don't believe me. You guys are mean. I said it, what don't you just believe me? Waaaaaaah!"

And we just sighed.

You're acting like a child - expect to be treated like one.

Awwww. You're all tired out. Okay puggy-buddy, you can go home now. If you don't want to continue the discussion you started, you're more than welcome to toss-off.

Honestly, we don't give a fuck if you believe us. Noone will be following you out of here.

And, for the record, you must care at least a little bit about what we think to have come to this forum.

I could care less about people like you guys. If you were hanging on the edge of a cliff and I was the only one who could save, I'd just read a newspaper or by a DBZ season set and leave.

We're not actually being serious. I mean, we've got better things to do in our lives than fuss over such trivial things. Right?

I have one thing to say: Screw 20% of meaningless footage being cropped out. I care more about the story and the show, not a little bit of Goku's hair that I won't be able to see
