Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

My double feature screencaps are working again.

Pretty good. There's still some scratches, but few and far in between. Not as much as in the previous releases. No disappearing lines, etc. And it's very sharp, since they apparently haven't DVNR'd this one.

I noticed an error during the Cha-La-Head-Cha-La sequence on Movie 7. Where it should show Vegeta going Super Saiya-jin and Mirai Trunks slicing Mecha Freeza it instead shows Kuririn, Yamcha & Tenshinhan firing their attacks from the 1st & 2nd animations. The rest of the 3rd animation is correct though.

Could you possibly rip a video file of this? Does the music skip at all at this point?

Sure I can rip the video, and no the music doesn't skip at this point.
EDIT: It seems like Movie 9 has this problem too.

Any shaking?
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Damn. Does FUNi
try and do these weird things? This can't be an accident, maybe they're waiting for someone to point it out on their forum, like it's a hidden easter egg like there are in a lot of modern video games. Maybe you'll win something!! Like a... a... well what would they give us that we actually want.

A competent release?

Those are things they're either going do on their own, or never going to do, no matter what. It's nothing they would ever offer or risk doing based on a mere fan-request. But I'm with both of you, it would be amazing and much appreciated.
Anyway, great find DB_Fan1991, it's very impressive that you caught that.

Kay, so the Double features basically look as good, if not better than the Dragon Boxes. Cool, nice to know.

Eh... the double features are very good, but they're not as good as the Dragon Box. According to
jjgp1112 there's still some film damage, and the stills show the over-darkening like the rest of Funi's releases. But it's still damn good.

I'd say the darkness is more of a problem with Movie 9. Movie 7 is definitely the better of the two. Less film damage, the colors aren't over-darkened. But regardless, you're right, they both look good.

And the more Double Features we get, the more excited I am for the 12/13 Double Feature. The Funi singles for those two movies were horrible and I can't wait to see them with a good master and good encoding.

How horrible were they? I was thinking to go and buy the singles.

The encoding is just horrible, and the bitrate, especially in Movie 13, just gets out of control in some scenes. Macro-block hell.
