As a comics fan, I'm used to seeing it. Marvel vs DC, and the like. Fans love to act flabbergasted when you don't like the "right" thing. As I've said in the other thread, people need to remember, or at least be aware of this:

I can agree with that as well Sinestro, and I'm barely even in the US comic scene. I know I've run into a fair few believers of the 'Anime is a cancer on the US comic industry!' believers, just being a fan of TMNT. It's sad really how people just can't let people like what they like without criticism.

I think people take vs matches too seriously. Who really cares? I seen people flame each other and forums go at war with each other because of stupid vs matches.

Never understood the Pan hate. She has a few annoying moments but nothing too upsetting.

I don't hate Pan, I get why she is disliked though. part of the reason I think people don't like her is because, as a character, she had so much potential. In Z, she was cute and loveable and like the only one of Goku's relatives to really carry his personality. It felt like in GT most of that was thrown out the window in favor of trying to make her Bulma 2.0. Because of this, her power got diluted. She's the only Saiyan who can't transform which is bull shit, and she looks pathetic next to Trunks and Goku. To me it's really sad because she could have been so much more; because of that I feel your pain and I don't like hearing people hate on her. However, I get why they do and it sucks.

I never care for Pan at all. I don't why people will have her and Trunks be couples when the age gab is way too big. Trunks is in his early 20's and Pan is like 9 years old.

I'm not fond of the pairing either, but I think it's a little more understandable when you remember that there was the whole 'GT is ten years later' thing floating around for a while, so it made Pan older. Like, 14-ish. I forget how old that would make Trunks then, still much too old for her probably, but it's a...little...less creepy, I guess? Anyway, just something to remember. I also think it sprang from how many scenes they had together in GT, especially stuff like where she hid the key to the ship down her shirt. Pairings have popped up from far less, sadly.

I'm more fond of thinking of Pan and Uub as a couple myself. Not with what we have in GT I mean, but in my own personal 'this could happen after Z' thoughts.

Goten and Bra together makes no sense neither given that she was like 8 in GT. Besides I doubt Vegeta would let her date Goten anyways .

I would actually almost prefer to think Bra was older given that outfit. It was bad enough when I thought she was like 14 or so at least, but now...

Vegeta's reaction would almost make that pairing worth it IMO.

The polish TV version of Dragon Ball. I think it can be one of the worst versions ever: based on the infamous french dub (which was already dumb, contained lots of censorship and changed names), with voiceover (even dub is better than this and we get it in almost every TV channel with all the movies) and a translation so inconsistent that it made no sense whatsoever.

The downside is, there is no other legally available version...

Why do people obsess over Goku/Bulma, Goku/Vegeta(gross), Trunks/Pan(listed above and seriously he is too old for her), etc. Seriously people go nuts on pairings for some reason. Why do people care about couples so much. It's probably the worst for the Sonic series with Sonic/Amy(not happening), Sonic/Shadow(gross), Sonic/Tails(their not gay), Tails/Cream(6)/Cosmo(Their 8 for fucks sake, plus fuck the forced Cosmo BS)

Back on DBZ, I don't care when people do stuff on canon pairings, but some of these are ridiculous. Why would people pair Goku and Vegeta? Seriously Vegeta would rather kill Goku then be his boyfriend.

Speaking of Pan, I'm sick of the wretched Pan/Trunks and Goten/Bra pairings. It's like fangirls are just desperate for something, because they seem to be oblivious to the fact that there's a 10+ year age different in both of those made up pairings, especially since there's next to nothing that evidences that they have a chance of happening.

I wouldn't call myself obsessed with pairings, but given that I'm a big fan of a lot of romantic comedy titles, and I do wish Dragon Ball had even a fraction more somewhat romantic content in it...well, yeah. It comes to me more than it does for some I guess.

Like I said, I think the Trunks/Pan thing's basis is just from their interactions in GT, and that for a long time a lot of people weren't entirely sure on the ages. I mean, just going off of appearances, Pan's outfit (thought not as bad as Bra's) doesn't exactly suggest she's any younger than a young teen. And Trunks definitely doesn't look like he's out of his teens just yet. So it was just one missed guess after another. Bra and Goten I assume...just came from people going 'well, if we've got Trunks with Pan...', and the fact that I don't think anyone liked Goten's actual girl in GT.

As for Trunks, if I had to pick, I'd put him more with Marron myself. Not because there's anything there (because there's not, in series anyway), but because it seems like a cute enough idea to me.

...Maybe I should just make a pairing discussion thread at this point.

The only good ship that I've seen with "My Little Pony" was Robot Chicken, when they did the goof line of "My Little Pony: Apocalypse Pony".
