I'm just pondering how much additional information will be released during E3 next month. I'm hoping for not only new characters, but some peeks at the story mode, as well as some new gameplay elements.
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

I want to know the following:
1) Is Piccolo going to have a 'Giant Form' included as well?
2) How are they going to work the transformations for those large forms?
3) Now that transformations are apparently in-game, is this 100 character count... not counting them?
Those are currently my main questions for the game, and I'm hoping E3 has some (or all) of the answers. Here's to hoping BT2 is at E3, G4's E3 coverage is good, and looks at BT2.

<Kaboom> I'm just glad that he now sounds more like Invader Zim than Rita Repulsa
<Xyex> Original Freeza never sounded like a chick to me.
<Kaboom> Neither does Rita
<Xyex> Good point.

1) Hmmm ... probably.
2) What do you mean? The transformation animation? The gameplay of the character?
The same way Freeza changed sizes in B3 I guess. One moment he is a runt, next moment he's a giant. Perhaps they (Slug and Piccolo)'ll get a bit slower afterwards, but ...
3) Unknown, but since Tenkaichi 1 has about 90 characters with transformations, it is highly probable that the 100+ but does NOT include them.
"Destiny"... people claim by force what they desire, wreak havoc upon others in order to acquire it... and they call it "destiny".

I was thinking that, but the size difference is so much... It took Dimps 3 games to manage *any* size increase for it's characters. All the transformations in the first two games kept the charas the same height. I can see it being a bit complicated to suddenly shift from normal to giant for things like hit detection and so on.2) What do you mean? The transformation animation? The gameplay of the character?

Perhaps they never gave Freeza his 2nd and 3rd stage forms in the first Budokais because they thought he shouldn't change sizes (in order to be a medium size character all the way). Freeza (as well as Cooler and Brolly) have (in B3) the advantage on becoming large, thus fighting large characters on equal terms. Or perhaps they never had the time to include 2nd and 3rd stage in Budokai 1 and 2.Xyex wrote:I was thinking that, but the size difference is so much... As for the hit detection, well... the character's sprite is replaced with another sprite. This is a technique we've seen happening from the days of MK1, where Shang Tsung would become Goro. No bugs or problems. I think they can do this with (relative) ease.
Man, can you imagine giant Piccolo against Oozaru Gohan? Woa, wait... why didn't he do that in the anime? O_o

Actually, it's for PS2, not PS3.veshira wrote:So pretty.I really like the graphics I'm seeing for this game. I can't wait to get it. (I guess for PS3, but I'd like to have it on a Nintendo consule for once; my brother gets the Sony consules, and I get the Nintendo ones.)
Funny you mentioned that. I had that idea too, and wanted to draw it. But I never got a layout cool enough to actually do it.ngnikolaos wrote:Man, can you imagine giant Piccolo against Oozaru Gohan? Woa, wait... why didn't he do that in the anime? O_o

My guess is for the Ozaru forms, as well as the giant forms, it'll be a seperate character.
There is no better combination in the world than Dragonball, Cherry Pepsi, and Cheez-Its. It's a proven fact.

Holy shit, that would of been awesome.ngnikolaos wrote:Man, can you imagine giant Piccolo against Oozaru Gohan? Woa, wait... why didn't he do that in the anime? O_o
As for the "How will they transform into bigger forms" question, they'll probably do it how the change from Vegeta to Majin Vegeta in Budokai, screen fades to white, then when it fades back in the model has changed (With camera angels and special effects and stuff).

Remember how back in Final Bout that the last stage of the tournament taking place on an empty field was at night? What if this game's battlefields have real-time daytime and nighttime and stuff? The moon would rise and give little Goku's tail some Bruits wave and...you guys know what happens. HOWEVER, this is to good to be true because they would have to tinker with other mechanisms.

What other mechanisms? Seems like a really simple thing to put in a day/night switch. (Which would be awesome:D)kvon wrote:Remember how back in Final Bout that the last stage of the tournament taking place on an empty field was at night? Fuck. Does anyone else thing the fighting system looks TERRIBLE? the characters are unbelievibly stiff and their attacks are retardedly slow. See Goku's kick?Pull back... wait... kick! Lame.
And the enviroments look huge - "look" huge. They've got invisible walls. Lame. Hopefully they're still big, even though not as big as they could be.
"Destructable enviroments" is a bit of an over statement. This isn't Red Faction-esque GeoMod - it's key destructible items on the field, with canned animations. See when Goku destroys that Rock plateau? It seems to take no damage until the last hit and then completly crumbles vanishing into the ground.
I'm very dissapointed in the game so far

Slow? I don't know about that. The fighting might be slow, but the Dragon Dash has definitely become faster than the previous game.desirecampbell wrote:Fuck. What I'm enjoying from these videos are the music. Seems like they composed new music for this game. Being a music lover myself, I'm really looking forward to it for the music. (I might be wrong, but it still might be the recycled music that I'm not familiar with)

Hey guys quick "update" I guess you would call it.
The official Sparking NEO! website has been updated, and the ridiculous spellings have been corrected.
It now says Dragon instead of Doragon etc.

Actually, Goku's charging up the kick. You were able to do a regular kick or charge up your kick to inflict more damage and push your opponent back further. It only looks slow because the players sucked and really didn't do anything impressive.desirecampbell wrote:Fuck.
