I couldn't find the review on Amazon that said that.

YouTube Comment on my Dragon Box video:
"You know this set is starting to become a bit of a disappointment. I've already caught some serious audio/video sync problems with the english audio track but now I've picked up on one one the Japanese track. I don't know about you guys but I can't stand when the syncing is off. Escpecially on the orignal Japanese track."
Huh?

Ryan Q. Huynh wrote:First and foremost let me say this is not a set for those of you who prefer the english Dub. I've just finished a double run of this set (one for Japanese audio and the other for English)and discovered that 4 of the 6 discs definetly have sync problems with the ENGLISH audio. Its really noticble on the 1st disc but only slightly on the others. This isn't a big deal for me since I prefer the Original Japanese Audio. This set is definetly ideal for any "True" DBZ fan. When Funimation managed to get their hands on this they definetly hit gold. Can't wait for the next set to be released.

I haven't noticed any sync problems. I wish the person commenting was a bit more specific.

Li'l Lemmy wrote:Quick question for someone with the set in hand and a working slimline PS2: Will the discs play in that system? It's my intention to suggest this purchase to a friend of mine, but the only feasible DVD player in his possession is that particular system . . . and I sold mine to upgrade to PS3, so I can't check. ^_^
I popped these bad boys in for ya, and yes, they do work on a PS2 slim. I personally think they look a little better on a stand-alone DVD player, but if the PS2 slim is all they have, then it should be good enough.

I actually think it would be their DVD player. I haven't had any sync problems at all. For the record, I'm using a 60gb PS3.

I'm runnin' mine on a PS3 also and everything's just fine.
I'm sure if there really are sync problems Mike'll catch'em and say something in his review.

Assuming he listens to the dub track (which...I don't foresee happening).

I haven't even listened to that yet myself. I suppose I should... but I don't want to. I know, I'll just let Mike do it.

The comment in Shinrougafufuken's post also mentions bad sync in the Japanese version. That's what I was talking about.

I've only quickly switched over to the dub track twice. Once, just hear what the hell dub voices with original bgm sounded like, and second to see if that one song was there during Piccolo's death (which I assumed was one of them "insert songs", or whatever) and it wasn't.
Just wanted to see what you guys have been mentioning previously about the Orange bricks. But in doing so, I didn't notice any syncing issues. I'm on the middle of Disc 5, and when I finish that, then I'll watch it again in English. And then I'll try to rip the vob files and try to get the music out of the 5.1 track for shits and giggles.
Eventually I'll read (not skim) the book. It feels too nice and crisp to hold it open very long.

So are the DVD cases.
So much better than regular-ol' flimsy card-stock.

This is worse then
Panic! at the Disco.

I went through some of the Amazon reviews couple days ago...gave me a good laugh and a bit more anger. And I sort of hope the entire English Audio track is out of sync because I'm a jerk and don't care about the secondary audio option in this case.

To Mike: The Dub is like a bitchy teacher who loves to scratch her nails against the chalkboard... it's annoying and makes people cringe because of the sound.

I think Tom Dubois of "The Boondocks" said it best for me when FUNimation announced the release of the domestic Dragonbox, after buying all of the Season Sets: "MOTHERFUCK!!! SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT, PRICKS, SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIIIIIIIT!"

I saw the episode with Gohan's robot for the first time just now.
I really liked it.
