I got the latest issue of VJump today. No pages on the game in VJump (unless I overlooked). There was a little booklet/magazine though that came with the issue. So I scanned it.
You can get it here
It is high quality. I left it that way so someone could print it out if they wanted. For instance, if you cleaned up the 4 page fold out to get rid of the creases, it would make a nice poster.

Oh. I always compress in rar. Try going here and downloading WinRAR
I hope that helps.

So I picked up the latest issue of Gamepro in borders today, because the front cover happened to catch my eye:

Inside there wasn't much...
Same screen shots we've been seeing
same descriptions we've been hearing.
One thing however did particularly catch my interest:

For those of you who can't see the image too well, it describes a contest for a free american copy of Super DBZ. Apparantly you have to draw your best Dragonball action scene and send it in. Details are at www.gamepro.com/superdbz

There is no better combination in the world than Dragonball, Cherry Pepsi, and Cheez-Its. It's a proven fact.

My interest is peaked, though I know at least 2 people on this board who can draw way better than I can. (Leotaku and Announcer Guy)
Also, about the link....

I could REALLY use that. I don't have the money to get it right when it comes out; I have to save my money for other things.
But Chuquita's right; the link doesn't work. And that's even the link they give you in the magazine. It says the magazine is displayed until July 17, so I HOPE the contest is still open for a while until I can actually get a look at the details.
Do you know if this is open to Canadian residents? Or if we can send our entry in through email?
Oh, why, thank you.Chuquita wrote:My interest is peaked, though I know at least 2 people on this board who can draw way better than I can. (Leotaku and Announcer Guy)
I think you do nice work yourself though. I've checked it out before.

Legal statements. I see Bird Studios and Toei Animation a few times throughout the paragraph. Remember, DBZ is not yours.Leotaku wrote:Hey _Jrinu_, is that ALL it says about the contest?
I can't quite make out the smaller text in the black box at the bottom. Is it just legal statements?
Durnit...why'd they give a page URL that doesn't exist?...
What's scarier than a DBZ H-game?

OK, thanks.
I guess all we can do is wait for their durn webpage to work then.

They pick the letters at random for the Super DBZ contest, but the best 10 fights is picked differently. . . I think.
There is also an ad for the game, which has a couple of nice pictures, but I don't think it's anything that hasn't already been posted here. The ad says:
-----------
DRAGON BRAWL

- Cause more damage with intense, super-fast combos and battle scenes
- Master every character's unique set of moves
- Art style based on the best-selling amngas by Akira Toriyama

IGN's got a new article about Super DBZ, and also states that it'll have more gameplay videos soon: http://ps2.ign.com/articles/715/715387p1.html
It talks about how the basic controls work, and about some of the different modes available to play. It also talks about character customization, where you can apparently make changes to the characters, like color and move changes. I haven't really been following this game all that much recently, so I don't know of any of this is actually new, but either way, it's something. I'm especially intrigued by applying different moves to different characters...

The guy who wrote that article was obiviously a Sparking! fan. He even goes a far as saying that Super DBZ was a cash in, then again, what DBZ game isn't. Ironically, he gave Sparking! an 8.0 or so.Swift wrote:IGN's got a new article about Super DBZ, and also states that it'll have more gameplay videos soon: http://ps2.ign.com/articles/715/715387p1.html

Amazon doesn't ship outside to outside regions. Which is a pain in the ass. I tried to order copies of Breath of Fire III and Locoroco from Amazon for my PSP which is region free but I got this little notice that said my shipping address was not located within the required region.
Even for region free media they won't do it.
