It's from one of the episodes where Buu is released from his ball. Hercule has a flashback (newly animated) to the 25th Budokai of Gohan and Videl flying off. I forget which episode it is, I think it's the one where Gohan Kamehame-Has' Buu's ball in his SNES style. Hope that helps.

Did anyone figure out if Funi was planning on releasing the Vegeta saga in one box? I would rather buy one big box then two little ones.

Sorry, but this isn't going to ever happen. The largest box sets Funi has put out there so far are the Majin Buu and Fusion Saga sets, each containing 7 Volumes. Anything saga with more than that just got a starter set, except the Freeza Saga, which has nothing. (Box Set Wise) Besides, without thin-paks, a 12 volume Set would be HUGE. If anything they'd Release it in a book, and that wouldn't really match up with the rest of the series, not that the UU follow any continuity anyway.

Long Story short, I'll be surprised to see a full box set of just the Vegeta Saga I, let alone a full 12 Volume Set of I and II together. (Although the box Art would look pretty cool, fading from Red to Blue.... )

No, they woulndt release it in book form. Thats just stupid. They could make a box to hold all those DVDs, furthermore they could make a box of 10 DVDs (Frezza Saga), Its not that hard. I don't know what's taking them so long. The only think that wouldn't match up with the rest of the series when put side to side is that the'll probley use the hard cardboard for the box instead of the paper thin boxes used earlier.

And is your signature saying Nintendo hasn't been around sinc the 1800's? Cause it has. They used to make playing cards :D

Well they might make a dragonbox for the USA right

I just hate buying a starter set and buying each dvd at full price

You're saying it would be stupid to release it in book form, which could hold 12 DVDs in about 2 1/2 in. easily, than it is to have a giant box set with 12 clam cases which would take up almost 8? You really have too much space in your shelves. But really, it's not like FUNi hasn't used this format before for other series, so it wouldn't be all that far-fetched. Plus, lots of stuff about the UU releases doesn't match up with the rest of the series, including box art, bgm, Episode #s, Dialouge, you get the picture. So if you don't think they'd do it just because it's not what they've BEEN doing, just try keep an open mind.

And to add some fire to your opinion, I forgot to mention that they did release 2 box sets with more than 7 Volumes for DBZ; the original Saiyan ( 8 ) and Namek ( 9 ) Sagas. I hadn't thought of them because we were discussing the UU, so hey, I guess sretching it to 12 isn't that far off.

And about my sig, that's kinda cool you noticed. There is in fact a story behind that. Not that its interesting or anything, but yeah: When I first came across that I didn't believe it, mainly because of the way they typed. I mean come on, whatever they didn't type grammatically wrong they spelled wrong. And that's just a part of the paragraph, I edited it for length. So I decided looked it up to use to chew them about and was like, Damn it... They were right. So I ended up using it as a sig.

The moral to this little story? I dunno. Make one up yourself. :D

No it's not stupid at all it actually would be the smartest way to sell these episodes. I ment (maybe I wasn't clear, sorry) it would be stupid to release just on saga in book form while the other sagas are in boxes, it would look stupid. If they just went back and made all the sagas in book form then yea, it would be fine.

Man, You have no idea. I have 153 Dragonball DVDs and 34 random anime DVDs all on the same shelf.

I found this in the DVD guide section for the Frieza saga.

"There is currently no boxset released or announced for this saga. There had been rumors floating around that FUNimation would be remastering these discs to fix issues (such as episode navigation, eye-catches, theme songs, etc.), but nothing further has been announced."

So they are also planning on re-releasing these episodes also? I just wish I knew when all the final versions of everything would be available.

I wish they would stop tinkering and release the damn things so I don't have to keep buying more crap.

I wouldn't be surprised that after all the DragonBall Z DVD's are released, if Funimation went back and re-released them all again in some kind of thin-pack boxed set, like they did with Tenchi Muyo GXP.

DBZ is still their cash cow after all, and there's plenty more opportunities to be milked from it. Most fans don't have the cash or desire to buy every single episode on a 3 per disc ratio.

I guess I dont mind buying them, I just don't want to spend hundreds of dollars only to have Funi pull more "remastered" DVDs out of there ass.

I used to have most of Funi's DBZ TV series DVDs, but sold them off about a year ago. The only ones I still own are all of the movies, most of GT, and I'm currently collecting the Ultimate Uncut DVDs.

I'm would like to collect the whole DBZ TV series on DVD from ep. 1 to ep. 291, but don't want to buy all of those 3-ep DVDs just to find a year or two from now, there'll be some kind of boxset/compilation release.

So, yeah. I'm waiting to buy Freeza saga onwards, because I KNOW we'll see a re-release in the near future.

It would be really smart for them to re-dub the rest of the Freeza arc, because it needs to be redubbed more than Seasons 1 and 2 ever did.

This is "Ultimate Uncut" related... here's the boxart for the upcoming boxset "Season One: Vegeta Saga."

http://www.aaaanime.com/dvds.asp?view=item&code=FN02242

The style leads me to believe that they will eventually release the "Namek" episodes as well as the rest of the series in this format.

I'm already somewhat agitated that I have to buy this box just to get to the Vegeta/Goku fight uncut w/ subtitles, but... hey, I sold off my UUE DVDs and got $45 to put towards this set, so it's not too bad.

(This boxset-style release is how they should've been doing the UUE releases from the start.)

I was thinking the same thing when I heard of the UUE, and it really would be a great idea (for dub continuity, anyway.)

But it's Funimation, I doubt they're going to spend any more time/money redubbing something they already did themselves.
