crew update:

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed a few more crew members working on Dragonball.

Mayes C. Rubeo (Apocalypto, Fox's upcoming Avatar) is the Costume Designer.

Joe Pancake (Spider-Man 2, Pirates Of The Carribean) is working on the Special Effects.

Bruton Jones (Underworld) is the Production Designer.

Also, IMDB seems to confirm something we reported a while ago that Amalgamated Dynamics Inc. will be working on the film. You can check out some of ADI's amazing work here.

Dragon Ball Movie Blog

ADI is probably for all the aliens that'll be involved. They do a lot of Animatronics and specialized suits. Lots of monster stuff. Nice to know they've got someone from Spider-Man 2, but as far as Mayes C. Rubeo goes, haven't seen a single thing from him. Then again, Apocalypto and Avatar are nothing to scoff at, they were both pretty high-range.

Bruton Jones though... I hated Stay Alive and Underworld, but perhaps he can help pull this off. Perhaps.

Especially when this isn't even change in the first place. Again, adaptation. The movie is not the manga. The movie is a spin-off concept of the manga. It's someone else's take on the story. It IS NOT TORIYAMA'S DRAGONBALL and was never intended to be so.

and THAT'S WHY for SOME of us adaptation on cartoon/anime is nonsense...

And the movie is an adaptation. Just because you have an extremely narrow-minded take on the term, and on Dragonball, doesn't change the fact that it is an adaptation of the series.

So if I wanna have extremely wide mind, I should take word "frog" as a bike, car, airplain, shit, and anything else in this world...right???

There is a difference between word's-meaning tolerance and movie's-shitness tollerence...

Ok, why some of you constatntly talk like "It is a movie, it's not manga, it should be different, it should be changed"
First of all, if it is good adaptation, it should at least have same characters and same old plot, and barely similar actors to characters they play(I may be wrong, correct me if this is wrong definiton of "live action movie adaptation").
But the only thing that's same in the actual DB and in this movie is 1.the title, 2.names of SOME characters, 3.dragon balls...

And please stop saying "shut up, n' don't judge befoure even trailer haven't came out!"
LOOK! first of all, some of us just don't like LAM idea at all!!!! So no matter what, it will always suck for some of us...And if you respect other's opinions, at least stop saying "shut up" and stop comolaining about complaining...

And don't force fake optimism(maybe I'm wrong), because no matter how much they change this movie till august, IT WILL STILL SUCK!
I mean, I'm the first one who always say "first see, than judge" but some things are too obvious! Whatever happen, they will still stay "justin Chatwin", "Emmy Rossum" etc...What they can change?!?!?! give me all posibilites!!?!?!?

That's nothing more than your opinion, and we'd appreciate it if you didn't practically scream it at us like we're stupid. Because, in contrast, several of us are a lot less worked up about it, okay with the couple adaptive changes, and actually ARE looking forward to it.

Sigh, DTX has his heart in the right place, but again he comes off as a jabbering idiot.

Let's try this again:

There's a live action movie being filmed. It is called 'Dragon Ball' and uses the manga as a basis for the film. But, of the few pieces of information we've received many of the key points are changed.
