Why would anyone think that? Naruto and DragonBall are very simialr - Hell, I thought I read somewher ethat Toriyama and Kishimoto were friends.B-kun wrote:XD;; I think what Maitoferreti meant is she's a fan of DB AND Naruto. To fandom, it seems like you can't be a fan of both, but she and I (...) pull it off.
(é) Yeah, I'm famous. Super famous. I start things.

I wasn't knocking Naruto. I'm just implying that something can't simply be "replaced." Dragonball has a certain appeal that other series cannot mimic, although I'm sure many try. The same can be said for Naruto and for fans of that series.
I like the Naruto manga. It's well drawn, has an interesting style, and it amuses me. I just don't favor the animated series. I do hope it gets a fair shot at popularity on CN, but I'm sure many anime fans will dismiss it regardless, because they'll assume it's like DBZ, which for some, is considered both "icky" and "quite dumb."
Actually, I hope it becomes a giant goddamn hit over here, just to stick it to those jerks.

So it's in stereo, so what? I have seen a good portion of DBGT. I liked the "previous episode" interlude, since it had actual recorded violins, but other than that, the synthesized music is just far too corny for my tastes.Conan the SSJ wrote:Dude, you really haven't seen much of GT, have you. GT's music was awesome, and while the series had obvious flaws, it had truly beyond belief moments of it. The Blackstar Dragonball hunt through the galaxy provided the viewer with a new grand (no pun intended) outlook on the DragonBall universe that had never been seen in the series before (with the major exceptions of the Namek arc and final Kid Buu battle). The battle against Bebi was pretty damn awesome once Goku had his tail regrown, Piccolo's death scene was truly impressive and hit me hard when he said his goodbyes to Gohan, the Super 17 saga gave us a nifty look on most of the villans from all three DragonBall series's returning from the dead, not to mention the final 4 episodes of the series were truly phenominal. One final thing about GT, the Goku Jr. TV special was an awesome prequal to the final 8 minutes of the series, and was done in STEREO.Mattias wrote:I haven't seen much of Dragon Ball GT, and I don't think I'll ever get the desire to actually sit down and watch all of it. The character designs look horribly off (they seem to be much shorter than before), not to mention that the music is absolutely terrible (I'm talking about the original version, here).
It's not Joe Hisaishi, that's for sure (Yes, I know that he didn't have anything to do with DB).
