I'm so confused right now its not even funny. Vegeta4, I'm not sure about Star Wars, but there is a pretty solid view of canon in the DragonWorld. With that being said, I think Sonic is fun. I hope that helps.

I agree with what you said about the "ignored plotholes". I've lost count of the times I've heard someone say something in that sense. (IE: "Where did Vegeta's tail go?
"Ah dont worry, It's just GT"

2) Mr. Announcer: You know what? You have a lot of good points there (especially about Pan). But she didn't get on my nerves THAT much.
But GT's criticism is justified in many ways. (IE: I have a double edge criticism on making Frieza and Cell look completely stupid, but on the positive side their faces were hilarious when Goku asks for more foor <when they are caught by the Oni>. I looked at that scene as just pure comedy from then on. (at first I was disapointed because I thought I was supposed to be the grand return of Cell and Frieza in a very dark/epic battle. But it nothing more than an extended slapstick cameo.

But on the "no heart" thing. I had originally thought that it was true. But many things changed my mind.
At 1 point of the Super 17 battle (THAT had little heart, but it was just done to be blood pumping, which I thought it was one of the cooler battles in DB history. <Vegeta's face when they merge is classic DB: "They've... combined...">

But that's why I think the Bebi saga is actually good. There are some battles with little emotion, but many scenes really surprised me when I reviewed some episodes of the Bebi finale. (IE: the transformation bursts with emotion, Goku's first ever 10 X kamehameha (when he stands in front of the Earth, it was so well done).
- Also when Satan asks for Bebi to kill him and then you see Goku come down with Pan safe in his arms like a baby= near perfect (very moving) <as was Piccolo's death, which I couldnt have directed any better>

After seeing those scenes (and others: Like when Vegeta tells everyone to run away to space and let him die vs. Yi Xing Long, and having Trunks say goodbye to his mother..............I said to myself : "Yeah, they got the point." (besides all the nip picks people find)
that's why I'll still defend that part of the show no matter what.

I couldn't bring myself to even care about the outcomes of the fights.

That's pretty much it for me too. The writing was nowhere near as tight as it had been, not even against post-Freeza DB. There was no sense of motivation within the characters, and the action was just uninspired. The final battle had some improvements, but a lot of it was rehashed.

And while the series may have had its "heartful moments", I felt they overdid it with the emotion so much that it became a completely different genre. I don't want to cry during every episode. Far too sappy for a supposed Dragon Ball series IMO.

(b) There is a thread on Toriyama's assistants going on right now and I was wondering, were any of his assistants heavily involved in GT? If so, some of my ideas will change towards the series.

Also, I know everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but there is no reason to criticize someone for having their own. I'm not saying any names but members who start off by openly admitting that they purchase illegal products and disregards a canon system for the series are starting off on a bad foot. Just saying. No, what Mr. Piccolo meant was exactly what he said. Looking at the indisputable facts presented by the authour, and logically looking at all other information (where they come from, who wrote them, what the intention was), you can deduse what is, and what is not, canonical.

No, what Mr. Piccolo meant was exactly what he said. Looking at the indisputable facts presented by the authour, and logically looking at all other information (where they come from, who wrote them, what the intention was), you can deduse what is, and what is not, canonical.
