I think ol' Akira Toriyama forgot about Kintoun from after the Saiyan saga till the begining of Gohan in High School. You dont really see it much during those times.
On the other hand maybe Gohan just wanted to impress the ladies...

Where does the scene where Karin summons a new Kinto'un from an entire mass of them, fit into this theory?
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

I have to know, is the thread title a reference to "Get Outta My Dreams and Into My Car"?
I always wondered why Gohan never bothered with Kintoun until he was in his late teens, spoiled brat.
He never really needed it until then. He was either training, or fighting some big threat, or in out space, or training, or fighting big threat. Pretty much in that order. When he got to high school he needed a way to get to the city quickly. No sense in waisting energy, use Kintoun. He's been neglecte for years.
... Maybe later.

Actually, the title is a reference to one of the titles of vol. 1 of DB.

Nope to both. It's a reference to a
Rolling Stones song.

Go easy, some of them haven't been to a Stones Concert before.

Correct, I have not. I... don't care much for the Rolling Stones.

Back on topic...(throws stones shirt in hamper), The S wondered about the clump of Kintouns that Karin was able to summon. Maybe the kintouns are a species?

Well, what's strange is that the dub referred to the giant clump he summoned as a whole bunch of Nimbuses piled together. But in the manga (sorry, I don't have the JP version of the anime), Karin refers to the large mass as one giant Nimbus (which I think is pretty creepy). Karin then tells Goku to rip off as much of the cloud as he needs. I guess in this sense, Nimbus is like an earthworm that can be split as many times as you want (or at least to a point) and each piece will be alive on its own.
I personally thought that Nimbus went off to live in a community of other nimbuses (like on a farm). I vaguely remember a scene like that in the anime, at least (or I could be making up crap).
As for him/it being an actual being, we know that it got killed by Tambourine, but is able to survive being shot at (by some RR army guy), suggesting that only a mystical being can kill it. Yeah, that's all I got for now.
