Discussion regarding the entirety of the franchise in a general (meta) sense, including such aspects as: production, trends, merchandise, fan culture, and more.

Luckily, I felt it didn't take away from the awesomeness of the movie.
There wasn't any awesomeness to take away from.
Dark Knight's way better than
Batman Beyond, but
Batman Beyond sucked ass.
Anyway, back on topic. Is there anything left to say? I think we've pretty much taken it as far as it'll go.

Nope, I think you settled it as best as it will ever be settled with your "Goku could beat any post-crisis Superman (with varying degrees of difficulty) but wouldn't be able to beat pre-crisis Superman" statement, I know that that is the answer that I will always use for this question from now on!

I'm getting ignored even worse! I actually went and found the most recent Goku/Superman thread (it was on page 2) and linked to it! Just like this:
http://db.schuby.org/daizex/viewtopic.php?t=8087
Now we're on the second page here.
Apparently its not too much of a problem to repeat the very recent past like it never happened so I'm not gonna get too up-in-arms about it. Otherwise, in order to not be a hypocrite, I'd have to get all pissed every time DC decided it was time to fuck with their timeline again.

RETCON PUNCH!
*Cough*
One of these day's Superboy-Prime's gonna come across Dragon World and get his scrawny cape handed to him.
Actually, if Toriyama was allowed to do something like that it'd make a hilarious gag comic. Fifteen pages a month, no real fighting for a few months worth of chapters, with Z or Arale screwing with Superboy-Prime.

Oh, hell, you want to drag Z or Arale into this that just makes it all the worse for Supes. Either one of them, though especially Arale, could lay out Pre-crisis Supes like he was a wet paper bag. XD

Well, fair
is fair. You want to omit characters with logical, comparable abilities? You'd rather deal with absurd, limitless, goofball fantasy characters instead? Fine then! Pre-Crisis Superman gets to deal with
Arale instead! So much for that insta-win.

Actually, of Post-Crisis Supermen, Kingdom Come Superman from Earth 22 should be able to beat SSJ3 Goku. In one issue of Justice Society of America, Superman and his Kingdom Come counterpart had to try to convince Hercules to run from the godkiller. Hercules breaks his nose and sends him flying backwards. The same god of strength turns to Kingdom Come Superman and gives him a full strength punch and he doesn't even flinch from it. That alone is a feat of pure unbelievable endurance. Of course, Kingdom Come Superman had spent about 15 more years or so than the modern Superman in the sun, and was much more powerful, yet older.
Superman lately has been fairly tough, like when the native star blew up the alien planet he was on in Action Comics, while he was facing the real Brainiac. It seemed to have knocked him out, but he seemed relatively unharmed. *I feel like a crummy DB fan, being the only one trying to at least see DC gets proper representation, but I'm also a DC fan, so, what can you do?*
RIDER KIIIIIIICK!

This is why comic book fanwhores will never be taken seriously. You can pretend like you are above the fanshipping wars and the shit. You go "LOL at the nerds" and laugh at Comic Book Guy, but you are burning inside. You have a deepseated fear of your own nerdiness. You shut it in and keep it out of the light. Then one day, it comes out and in all it's pale nerdy glory it shouts to the heavens "SUPERMAN PWNS EVERYONE !1!!1!!!" and all the desireable chicks and even the putas are scared away. Seriously, that is what this is really, when you look at it under a microscope.

This thread is very interesting. But we all know that modern Superman would lose.(Please don't try to say "What about Pre-Crisis", because I don't wanna hear it. I already know what woulds happen.)

To coin a popular phrase in the comic world at the moment: "Why so serious?"
The way you combat that is, while having passion for your hobby or collecting venture of choice, you just try not to take it too seriously. People just need to relax a little and realize that they're reading about people with poofy hair with food-based names battling it out or that they're reading about people in spandex battling it out.

I mean, just look at that image! How can people take things
that seriously when masterful art is being created that makes Wolverine look like he's trying not to laugh while screaming "OWNED!" into that guy's face?
Besides, to cement my outlook further, people around here at DaizEX don't tend to just blast their controversial viewpoints out in a banworthy fashion.
Instead, we do it like this.

Sure. Nerds need to relax and have a few beers. Wolverine looks like he's saying "oWned" in that picture. DaizEX people say controversial things
in tiny text.

Yes. That sounds about right. Nerds and DaizEX aren't meant to cross paths. Or are they??? I'll try that small text thing out.
it works.

Naw. I'm not that delusional. Nerds and DaizEX go together really well. Especially since most DaizEX nerds seem pretty well-educated. Its just that some of us need to relax a little. If we knew this beforehand, Season Set threads wouldn't be a taboo discussion and live-action movie threads wouldn't have to be like walking on eggshells.
I don't think I'm a nerd, though. I'm a geek. Nerds don't have social lives.

That is very true-ish (don't want to contradict myself). There are quite a few DaizEX No-No's. And to comment on your small text: I myself has a very nice social life. I don't live in my mothers basement like a stereotypical nerd does. I actually sleep upstairs since...I'm in Middle School.

Right. Basements. does it count if I live in my own basement as opposed to some relative's basement?

Well if you like to live in basements(As long as it's yours), then it's cool, but what would I know! I live with my mom!
