When did Bulma start smoking?

Have any of you ever been reading any of those "Make a manga"-books? They're all credting Akira Toyamma for Bulma, because she change so much though the serie, but still some how remain the same.

I know they cut Peasuke's penis in a panel. Forgot exactly where, but it's a scene where he goes swimming naked and has a bizarre lack of anything between his legs in the Viz version.

They leave it on babies, but did add a censor bar to Arale on Obatchaman's body. Though in a way, with how Dr. Slump is, adding a censor bar is not too surprising. That and I guess they felt transie Arale looked disturbing.

I noticed her smoking in her first appearance in the Saiyaman Arc, so between the end of the Cell arc and the Saiyaman stuff.

The image was completely redrawn, not edited. Maybe it was Toriyama's decision, or perhaps Shueisha MADE Toriyama redraw the picture. But I don't see why they couldn't've just edited out the cigarette if that was the case. I don't see why there was a need to redraw it

I was going to clarify that it was redrawn, but you beat me to it! This wasn't the only title page that was redrawn, there are in fact a couple that were redrawn. I remember chapter 86 was also redrawn, but I can't remember any of the other ones right now.

Wow. I didn't know he redrew any more than just that one. I wonder why he redrew this one. Was Upa smoking in the bacground?

If I remember right, the cover for chapter 86 was missing from the tankoubon release, and it's not printed in Daizenshuu 7, so perhaps the original was lost, forcing Toriyama to redraw it?

Actually, it was in the tankoubon release (chapter 86). So I don't really know why it was redrawn. However, I do have a speculation that someone, most likely Toriyama, lost the originals for these chapters. Though it surprises me that Shueisha doesn't have color copies of these chapters. I guess we'll just never know.
