Neat-o. The Saiyan Arc's one of my favorite storylines, if not my #1.
Uh, whatever was exactly two months after this one. :D

EDIT: Seems right after my birthday they decided to stop making episodes for almost a month, and instead went for a few "specials". Anyone know what those were?

Wikipedia says it was DBZ episode 129, but Kanzentai says episode 130. How odd. I'm gonna guess Kanzentai is right though, even if I like the idea of the episode being the one Vegeta goes Super Saiyan better.

Chapter: 361 (DBZ 167)
謎の怪物、ついに出現!!
Nazo no Kaibutsu, Tsui ni Shutsugen!!

Volume: 28 (DBZ 13)

Episode: Dragon Ball Z 130
20号の不敵な笑い…ドクターゲロの秘密
Nijuugou no Futeki na Warai...
Dokutaa Gero no Himitsu
No. 20's Defiant Smile...
The Secret of Doctor Gero

EDIT: Added chapter and fixed episode number.

Kanzentai is right. Wikipedia skips a date. January 8, 1992.

Like B said, Wikipedia is wrong. DragonBall Z episode 130 did in-fact air on March 4, 1992. By the way, I think you listed the wrong episode number. "No. 20's Defiant Smile... The Secret of Doctor Gero" should be episode 130, not 129.

June 11, 1987.

DB Vol. 8
DB Ep. 66

Kinda weird to think I have Manga volumes in which the artwork and story were being released prior to my own birth.

Question!

On Kanzentai when it says "Weekly Jump #Number" does that mean what week of the year it was?

Like week 10 would mean some time in March?

I'm trying to figure out which chapter in specific it would be...
On hiatus.

Wow, we were born on the same day (incidentally, June 11th is Kamehameha Day in Hawaii). Which one of us is Goku, and which is Broli?

Anyway, chapterwise that would be between 126 and 127, so during the Goku/Kuririn fight at the 22nd Tenkaichi Budoukai.

It'd be the issue number of Jump, which would in theory be the same as the week in the year, but for whatever reason the first issue of each year is numbered as #3/4 or #5. The best way to figure out the specific chapter closest to each date is to use this feature [/shameless].

I was born Feb. 12, 1988:

Manga: Vol. 11 The World's Greatest Super Battle - Released: Feb. 15, 1988
Anime: DB Episode 101 The Martial Arts Tournament Ends! And Then...!! - Airdate: Feb. 17, 1988

I feel old. :?

I also feel that I have to throw my brother's out there, since he introduced me to Dragon Ball.

He was born July 30, 1992:
Manga: Vol. 31 Cell, Stealthily Approaching - Released: Aug. 9, 1992
Anime: DBZ Episode 151 One Final Remaining Hope... The Wordless Warrior No. 16 Takes Action!! - Airdate: Aug. 5, 1992

Volume 6, Pursuit!! General Blue (Release date: 13 May 1987).
Looks like the anime was also at the Red Ribbon arc back then. It aired September 10, 1986 (#029) ~ July 1, 1987 (#068) (from Kanzentai).
According to Anime News Network, the episode that aired a day after I was born was "57. Arale vs. Blue"

I was born on April 7th, 1987 8)

Tenshinhan'd been killed by Nappa on TV when I was born :)
I started watching DBZ after I was born and I don't remember which episode was the first to see,
but I still remember that I was watching the first TV special when I was very little.

Wow, so there is someone here younger than me. I feel better now. :P

Anyway...

August 29th, 1994 (Judgement Day would have been on my 3rd birthday! :P)

Volume 40, released December 2nd 1994; went from the awakening of Buu to the appearance of Evil/Super Buu.

And, checking Kanzentai... Oh shit! There should have been a chapter on my birthday, but there wan't. Goddammit! :x

So, the next chapter was September 5, which was Chapter 483, "Majin Bū to Nakamatachi" (魔人ブウと仲間たち), "The Friends of the Djinn" (Viz) or "Majin Buu and Friends" (my translation); the one where Buu makes friends with Mr. Satan and Bay, and Bay gets shot. Cool; I never knew that.

Just checked Kanzentai, and their translation for Chapter 483 is exactly the same as mine! True, it's not exactly hard to translate, but it least it shows I'm learning. :P

Still pretty annoyed that there should have been a chapter on my birthday though. :(

Anyway, episode...

Episode 238: "Akumu Futatabi! Ikite Ita Majin Bū" (悪夢ふたたび!生きていた魔人ブウ), "The Nightmare Continues! Majin Buu is Still Alive" or "Evil Lives On" (FUNi); aired on August 31st, 1994.

So it would be the one after Vegeta's sacrifice, and the discovery that Buu hasn't been destroyed. Cool; never knew that either. :P

Well, that was fun. Who's for Chinese?

[/Joker]

P.S., Pain, yours are volume 40 (same as me! :D), chapter 490 (October 24th 1994), and episode 244 (November 2nd 1994). ;)
