You know what pisses me off? When threads go off topic and devolve to season set stuff.

What's wrong with arguing with people who piss you off in a thread about things that piss you off? I mean, sure, I'm all for getting along, but I know it's not gonna happen nor do I expect it to.

We're on an anime/manga forum, after all.

You kinda missed my point. >> You're going badly off topic and this conversation has been done hundreds of times on this board. And, like all other times, it's just going in circles.

Well, yes, but then I wouldn't have any Dragonball anime.
Well no you could...I not advocating this, but I'm pretty sure that there are still pirate websites that offer dl's of DB episodes, movies and anything else DB. Now what would that cost you if you decided to find one? An internet connection? A couple of gigs of hd space? It's sure as hell beats spending $30+ bucks on sub-par DVDs if that's all I'm sacrificing.

That's why the, "It's So Dern Cheap", excuse is a mote point. And that's why people get all pissed and agitated when it's used as a defense of the product.

For Mike, if he sees what I said,
I'm not advocating downloading of Dragonball please don't ban me. I'm just trying to make a point that I felt needed to be brought up since it's going over the top of everybody's heads. Please don't close this tread, it'd be very disappointing if it ended with more Dbox vs. Orangebrick bullshit.
Be grateful the filler in Dragon Ball doesn't suck like the 3rd arc of Rurouni Kenshin.

It sure does sound like you're advocating piracy.

Except that I'm not. I've given no names, no url links, no now-to guide, nothing. How is that advocating if I just brought it up to make a point that you seem to be missing?

But you're basically saying that illegal downloading is better than actually buying it.

No I'm not. Get that straight. I'm saying that the cheap excuse is completely irrelevant if somebody knew where to go to dl stuff and knew their way around being a supporter of anything. Corey's even brought this up before so I don't know why I'm singled out..

No, if you're argument is 'lowest price wins' then the season sets still don't come out on top - that's the point.

-And, point in fact, such actions are not illegal everywhere.

Does it even end with you, jjgp1112?

The guys just making a point. If you -really- wanted to go the cheapest route, you'd use the internet. If you -really- don't care that much about picture quality, you'd use the internet.

Did he post things? Did he encourage downloading? No. He's throwing your standards back in your face. You should at least refute that instead of cheap shots about him encouraging illegal activity.

Of course, your counter is that you, despite all things, like to do things legally.

So yeah, can we move on?

Apparently the difference between being cheap and wanting an inexpensive product has gone over your head. Sure, fansubs = free, but people don't want fansubs, they want official product. They also want to have money. Thus, cheap official product = greatest deal.

How about this. Instead of complaining about the people who don't fight for 'better sets' everyone who wants these sets stops dragging this topic out over dozens of pages (we may not be there yet, but it'll happen) in topics that aren't even about it, goes out and buys the DragonBoxes and the Orange Bricks, then transfers the subs from the bicks to the boxes, and lives happily ever after.

Well it ain't legal where I live. Listen: Why the hell would I pay $1600 bucks for two box sets. Especially if they're in a language I don't understand. The Season Set actually has 1) A reasonable price, 2) a language I actually understand, and 3) Good amount of episode content.

Yes, thank you, someone else gets it.

EDIT:
Especially if they're in a language I don't understand.
Don't go there, dude. That just inspires Wapanese nerd rage.

Could we just get off this topic? We're basically asking VegettoEX to get pissed and kill the thread. I'm surprised he didn't a page ago.

What pisses me off is there's not enough girls cosplaying as ChiChi.

I think Quantum or her sister did once, but they're the only ones I've seen do that.

But yeah, I want to see more DB cosplayers too.
