Is it sad that I really want a figure of Piccolo's reaction from that part of the anime? It's weird, my favorite Piccolo moments are when he's entirely out of his element (like the driving episode or dealing with Gotenks).
I'm still kind of on board with Whis being a Makaioshin, even though it may not turn out that way. It just fits way too nicely.

If I didn't know any better I'd say that's a fake. So yeah, I totally see the point.

And that figure is one of the main reasons I ordered the figure set that I did.

Funny, I didn't realize it said 'Baka' over and over on the stand, in the picture I'd seen it looked like it was just cracked ground or something.

I love that scene so much.

You know things have gone south when the normally intelligent and stoic Piccolo completely loses his shit and starts arguing with a eight year old fusion.

I don't know, I think it's just Vegeta reacting with over the top comedic surprise. If before or midway through the Boo arc they had released a figurine of Piccolo's reaction to the temple's destruction, people would have gone "ah, Babidi must have cast a spell on him!"
I was thinking the same thing.
My first impression was that maybe there is a scene where Vegeta accidentally pisses off Bulma, then tries to act nice out of fear or something. It initially looked like he was comically smiling, but not so much anymore.

If that's so then he must be trying to compete with Goku as the #1 anime/manga deadbeat father.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I'm just about done with the concept of reboots and making shows that were products of their time and impactful "new and sexy" and in line with modern tastes and sensibilities. Let stuff stay in their era and give today's kids their own shit to watch.
I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about
your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

I feel like once it the series reaches the Buu arc (or even some time during the latter of that 7 year jump) that Vegeta becomes a better parent and once the Buu arc is over, he stays that way. I feel like post-Buu, Vegeta's definitely better at parenting than Goku. I mean, Vegeta's not gonna win any parenting awards or anything, but he will (even if begrudgingly so) act on the responsibilities of being a father whereas Goku's just kind of Goku.
Also, if Google translated the following even sort-of correctly, a Tokyo radio station will be playing the full version of FLOW's "Head-Cha-La" cover.

Yeah, I too think that Vegeta's a better father than Goku. Not that that's anything to brag about really...
But yeah, I could see him becoming this 'doting daddy' type towards Bra. It'd be funny to see him try to resist it or to try and hide the fact, while everyone else teases him about it.
Also, I cannot wait to hear that FLOW cover of Head Cha-La. The site mentions the other song being an 'insert song'. Does that mean Flow has done two songs for the movie?

Yeah, Goku sets the bar pretty low for that. (Even despite Goku being one of my favorites, I will freely admit he is terribly unfit for being one of the heads of a household. He's just too prone to following wherever his personal whimsies take him.)
Bura'd have Vegeta wrapped around her little finger. XD
"Doting" Vegeta is one of the reasons why I'd have liked the movie to have taken place a little further towards the end of the 10 year gap than towards the beginning of it. I feel like there's much to be mined comedy-wise in Vegeta's relationship with his daughter that the series just didn't have time for since it ended shortly after introducing her.
It does mention a 2nd, insert song? I like that idea. I was really hoping for some special made-for-the-movie songs. Also hope someone can record the full length version off the radio. I'll try to see if that radio station has a site with a stream.
EDIT: There is no easy way to stream the radio station.

Yeah, that Vegeta figure is very suspect and raises some red flags about his state. It practically advertises, "Something's screwy with Vegeta"!
Has the fact that Birusu is seen with sand and hourglasses and Pilaf, Shu and Mai appear to be kids been addressed?

That would be hilarious.
They would be arguing with each other even more fiercely than in the Jump 08 special. XD

Looks like people are posting videos about rumors of Vegeta and Gogeta becoming SSJ3 from the V-jump picture which is photo-shopped to have the Battle of Gods logo. If I remember right the picture was for Heros right?

That's definitely from Heroes. Others are photoshopped from Movie 12 images.

I love how now that we're finally getting actual new material, people still feel the need to fabricate fake new material.

And it's not even interesting (imo) fake new material either. It's all "guess who else is ssj3 now" stuff, which to me is one of the most boring rumors ever. SSJ3 and with its Raditz hair and neanderthal brows is my least favorite ssj form.
Birusu may have an unusual character design, but at least he's not another super saiyajin. I gotta applaud Toriyama and Toei for not going the Brolli route with BOG. (For the record I do like Movie 8; but bringing him back for 10 and then kind-of bringing him back for 11 was just too much.)

Agreed! I don't think my heart could take another Broly film

I like first and second Broly movies but part 3 was just too much. I'm hoping this new movie will have some of the dark elements that ''The Dead Zone'' had and of course the martial arts fighting.
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

With how often he's been appearing in the videogames, and with that ssj3 form now in play for him, I was actually worried for a while that "ssj3 Brolli" would end up being the bad guy; it was one of my biggest fears about this movie before the poster was leaked. Even though magical purple-kitty Birusu made me go "Huh?" when I first saw him, I am so relieved that he's not Brolli.
Dark elements and martial arts ala Dead Zone would be amazing. "The Dead Zone" is one of my favorites, so seeing stuff like that would be really interesting to me.
