My countdown is still running down and I can't access the website. :?
Oh, well nothing significantly new from what I can tell. :|

EDIT: Running it on Internet Explorer. That's a nice looking sky.

What Bandai Namco Games could possibly have anything to do with this? A game of the film?

More than anything they're just a copyright holder of the franchise, but at some point down the road they may release a game based on the movie. Who really knows at this point? No one.

Hujio wrote:So it seems the only additional information we gained from this site launch is a listing of the production companies involved with the film. Here they are, listed in order they appear on the official movie site:
  • Fox International Productions Japan
  • Shueisha
  • Fuji TV
  • Toei Animation
  • Bandai
  • Bandai Namco Games
  • Bird Studio
I'm curious to see what Fox's involvement is. If I had to guess, it'd mostly just be with distribution aspects of the film and not anything involving the plot or actual production input.

Anyway, I also find it interesting that within 10 minutes of the site going live they changed the layout. My guess is it was pretty hard to read some of the copyright info, as it was practically white on white.

Let the fun begin, again!
Guesses:
FOX - Chances of this being shown in U.S. theaters increased?
Shueisha - Ads at this year's Jump Festa?
Fuji TV - commercials shown on TV during One Piece?
Toei Animation - Because they're animating the movie?
Bandai - Tie in merchandise?
Bandai Namco Games - A videogame based off the movie?
Bird Studio - Copyright stuff/Akira Toriyama?

All of this seems excessive; are they planning to make this movie bigger than it currently feels to me? Or are all these types of listings there when it comes to One Piece and Pretty Cure movies too?
It's terrible how suppressed my expectations are for this movie after being burned by Kai and too many yearly-plot-repeating console games. XD
I want to know what the storyline's about so I can get properly excited if it's new or kind of disheartened if it's a repeat.

Also, they changed the layout already?! I guess I'm lucky to have gotten that blue sky saved while I did then.

After looking at it a little closer, the layout's apparently running on some sort of randomization script, as it's rotating between the two layouts. So I guess it hasn't changed, but it will look different for various people.

Randomization script? Neat. :3

There must be a huge amount of traffic to the site; it took me several tries to re-reach it. It loaded the blue sky one for me again, but that's alright; of the two, that's my favorite.

I wonder if they'll add more layouts into the rotation as the release date approaches. That would be an fun way to garner interest while dropping hints about the movie.

They all seem like obvious entities that would be involved with a Dragon Ball project, the only one that's kinda of surprising is Fox (even then not really when the movie is gonna be a more widespread release)

I think owning the property and a slew of magazines to promote it are more likely the case.

Yeah, I agree. Shueisha, Fuji TV, Toei Animation, and Bird Studio have always been the main copyright holders from the very beginning of the franchise. They're essentially on every piece of merchandise ever released, with a few exceptions.

I probably just never bothered to pay super-close attention to the credits before Strong World came out to really compare how the two set things up.
Really looking forward to the promotions for the movie. X3

In my sleepyness however, I did just notice that coincidentally the numbers 3/30/13 add up to 7. XD

Is there any way of saving Dragon Shenron (he's holding a Dragon Ball) from the background behind Goku?

These HQ screens of the characters look great!

Why would Fox be distributing it? Who distributed the previous films?

Maybe whatever deal they made with Toei back during the whole LAM project caused this to fall under the same umbrella? If so, what would that mean for Funimation? Would Fox have their own people dub the movie if it was brought over to the U.S? I'd rather just have Funi do it because it would just be weird otherwise. I mean, if Fox dubbed it themselves, it'd have the potential to be a U.S. counterpart to the Big Green dub, wouldn't it?

Nah, I think it would be a more The Simpsons Movie Japanese dub.

Played around with the images some more and I came up with one I like better than my earlier version. :3

I hope they post more layered images in future layouts for the movie site; getting such crisp, clean art to work with is fun.

True, but I couldn't read them since that text is so small. I assumed most of the regular ones, but not FOX or Bandai. :P

I doubt Fox will released the movie since they most likely only own the live action rights to the series (Which could have lost by now?). If Funimation does not renew the rights before 2014, I guess the movie won't get dubbed until someone grabs the rights to it after Funimation loses the rights to the series.

Chuquita great job on the photo! :D
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

It says to check the next Jump issue for Toriyama's comment. Which we've already seen, so there might not be any really new info there. Horay.
