Oh, well nothing significantly new from what I can tell.
EDIT: Running it on Internet Explorer. That's a nice looking sky.
More than anything they're just a copyright holder of the franchise, but at some point down the road they may release a game based on the movie. Who really knows at this point? No one.dbboxkaifan wrote:What Bandai Namco Games could possibly have anything to do with this? A game of the film?
Guesses:Hujio wrote:So it seems the only additional information we gained from this site launch is a listing of the production companies involved with the film. Here they are, listed in order they appear on the official movie site:
I'm curious to see what Fox's involvement is. If I had to guess, it'd mostly just be with distribution aspects of the film and not anything involving the plot or actual production input.
- Fox International Productions Japan
- Shueisha
- Fuji TV
- Toei Animation
- Bandai
- Bandai Namco Games
- Bird Studio
Anyway, I also find it interesting that within 10 minutes of the site going live they changed the layout. My guess is it was pretty hard to read some of the copyright info, as it was practically white on white.
Let the fun begin, again!
After looking at it a little closer, the layout's apparently running on some sort of randomization script, as it's rotating between the two layouts. So I guess it hasn't changed, but it will look different for various people.Chuquita wrote:Also, they changed the layout already?! I guess I'm lucky to have gotten that blue sky saved while I did then.
Randomization script? Neat. :3Hujio wrote:After looking at it a little closer, the layout's apparently running on some sort of randomization script, as it's rotating between the two layouts. They all seem like obvious entities that would be involved with a Dragon Ball project, the only one that's kinda of surprising is Fox (even then not really when the movie is gonna be a more widespread release)Chuquita wrote:All of this seems excessive; are they planning to make this movie bigger than it currently feels to me?
I think owning the property and a slew of magazines to promote it are more likely the case.Chuquita wrote:Shueisha - Ads at this year's Jump Festa?
Yeah, I agree. Shueisha, Fuji TV, Toei Animation, and Bird Studio have always been the main copyright holders from the very beginning of the franchise. They're essentially on every piece of merchandise ever released, with a few exceptions.AgitoZ wrote:I think owning the property and a slew of magazines to promote it are more likely the case.Chuquita wrote:Shueisha - Ads at this year's Jump Festa?
Yup, he's http://www.toei-anim.co.jp/movie/2013_d ... hara02.png .dbboxkaifan wrote:Is there any way of saving Dragon Shenron (he's holding a Dragon Ball) from the background behind Goku?
These HQ screens of the characters look great!
Maybe whatever deal they made with Toei back during the whole LAM project caused this to fall under the same umbrella? If so, what would that mean for Funimation? Would Fox have their own people dub the movie if it was brought over to the U.S? I'd rather just have Funi do it because it would just be weird otherwise. I mean, if Fox dubbed it themselves, it'd have the potential to be a U.S. counterpart to the Big Green dub, wouldn't it?JulieYBM wrote:Why would Fox be distributing it? Who distributed the previous films?
Nah, I think it would be a more The Simpsons Movie Japanese dub.Chuquita wrote:I mean, if Fox dubbed it themselves, it'd have the potential to be a U.S. counterpart to the Big Green dub, wouldn't it?
These were already revealed on this image, though..Hujio wrote:So it seems the only additional information we gained from this site launch is a listing of the production companies involved with the film. Here they are, listed in order they appear on the official movie site:

True, but I couldn't read them since that text is so small. I assumed most of the regular ones, but not FOX or Bandai.kei17 wrote:These were already revealed on this image, though...
It says to check the next Jump issue for Toriyama's comment. Which we've already seen, so there might not be any really new info there. Horay.VegettoEX wrote:Finally got through. Near as I can tell, it's just saying check Weekly Jump for information. Blargh.
