Who is stronger/SSJ2/Who could defeat whom. There's not many ways to have these conversations without wild speculation that doesn't really lead to an interesting answer; I mean, the person who believes so-and-so could defeat whats-his-face isn't going to easily persuaded nor be thrilled when/if it turns out they're wrong.

Vejita's fucking legendary super saiyan bs. I wish he would've been murdered sooner than later so he'd shut the hell up with that nonsense.

I think the whole canon debate is pretty stupid too. I feel like the Manga should be the only thing view as a canon since it came out first and it's the original source material. Everything else to me is just a AU and not apart of the original story line. I hate people try to have their own personal canon and try to throw every Dragon Ball related media into one time line. I don't think not every single DB related media can be view as canon even if there is no official canon. I think most of the DBZ movies made it pretty clear that they don't fit into the time line of the show.

I never want to hear "Dragonball Z is a sequel to Dragonball" or "Dragonball is a prequel to Dragonball Z" again. OTT dub-bashing and GT-bashing gets at me too. "Ally to good" I can deal with, but what I really can't stand is "pop goes the weasel".

The "having to lower your power level to match your partner means the fusion misses out on that power" theory. Mainly because people throw this in debates as if it was a fact and never seem to want to provide any evidence that it works that way.

I was going to say "Bruce Falcouner's score" but then I read this. This wins.

The only thing I liked about GT was the music, and the english dub rapes even that.

Probably because it's pretty logical, and is there any evidence that it doesn't work that way?
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

This. :(

Here's my additions:

- Any of the suggestive lines the FUNi Z Dub gave Freeza :?
- DBZ being obsolete because of Kai
- Dub vs. Sub debates
- Kuririn being called weak and a waste of space
- Pan's constant whining and her dub voice
- TFS jokes always being referenced in DBZ-related videos (seriously they're not that funny)
- Tiffany Volmer's Bulma
- The Episode jokes
- Whenever the FUNi Z Dub skews someone's preconception of the characters/plot to the point of ridiculousness

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

Wait, what?

It would more likely be the opposite and Kai's not all that popular compared to DBZ, it didn't help that it suffered the vocal changes on the dubs and music replacements.

"Rock the Dragon".

Even when I was younger, I didn't like it.

I won't begrudge anyone for finding it to be a guilty pleasure, though. Especially if that was present when you got into the show.

Man I'm 19 and when I hear Rock The Dragon I think it's the coolest thing ever. Could be the nostalgia, but for an original opening it beats anything Funi did out of the park for me.

Enjoy it and don't feel ashamed.

Hell, there are things I love about the Funi dub, even though they are wrong or inaccurate. (Sean Schemmel's portrayal of Goku, even though he's not the country bumpkin he should be, for instance)

No, but assumptions like this bother me.

I thought it was just like, you gotta lower your power to get through the keyhole but when in your power has space to increase.

That kinda thing. I never really cared though tbh.

That was pretty much my impression too. The fact that they're able to go Super Saiyan even after fusing as base could indicate that they're able to access power they didn't fuse with. But I guess this is a debate for another topic.

- GT/Kai bashing
- Dub/fan terms
- "Dragon Ball Wiki says that..."
- Dub references as proof in debates
- "Broli can one-shot SS4 Gogeta"
- "Broli can be single-handedly killed by Cell"
- FUNi dub >>> Japanese

The FUNi dub is a US dub, not a worldwide dub. Most fans in US grew up with it, not most fans in general.

And the rest of English speaking Europe and Canada grew up with international Ocean and Bluewater dubs, and France grew up with a French dub and so on. What's your point?

My point is that not everyone grew up with the FUNi dub. Hellspawn28 talks like most fans in the world grew up with the FUNi dub, which is wrong.

I know that Funi's dub is the US dub. Most fans on the Internet act like it's the only English dub that exist which is not true. It's annoyed me that people on other forums act like everything said in Funi's dub is true.
