This might be a stupid question, but I actually haven't come across the answer yet; when is the North American version of this being released?

It seems sooner than I thought. I dunno if I'll be able to afford a full priced game by then.

Some time in July. I'm predicting about the first tuesday of July at most.

Yes, & I thought it was awesome. It would be even more awesome to see more random Dr. Slump characters in the backround.

Something you and I have in common. I'm not as hyped as I was with the first 3 Budokais, but this game does have me more interested and eager to buy than Sagas and Budokai Tenkaichi, as well as Sparking! NEO/Budokai Tenkaichi 2 does. Corey and I agreeing on something, true it isn't DVD related, but it shows how exciting this game really is to some of us. :)

Not sure which one I want more yet. XD

Oh, and I've been saying for a while now that we need a game with an original story. You know what would kick ass? An action/rpg that's got a little BT, a little bit B3, and a little bit Sagas, and some extra orriginal bits too. Sagas in that it's an action/adventure styled game with lots of enemies coming at you. B3 for elements like transforming and a stats system (hence the RPG element), and BT for the actual style of the areas and the combat. The original bits would also go towards combat, things like target locking for multiple opponents and such.

Example: You're flying along through West City looking for any sign of a high and evil power that was detected only momentarily before vanising. You land on top of a building and scan around with your Ki senses and pick up 5 low powers two blocks to your right. Going that way you reach the location and find 5 odd beings down in an alley talking. However, they've also noticed you and all 5 launch up and attack you....

Yup. That's what I want. And I want it set during the 10 years between Kid Buu and the end of ther series. Entirely original bad guys and a brand-spanking-new story. :D

*sigh* Probably wont happen though.

er... to get this back on topic....

Is Atari still going to call it Super DBZ or are they changing the name?

Ther'e more likely to keep calling "Super DBZ" because it would just be dumb to call it "Chou DBZ". Then again, this IS Atari were talking about so I wouldn't be too suprised if they did something.

They've been calling it Super DragonBall Z in their press releases (and calling the other game Budokai Tenkaichi 2), so I think it's pretty well inferred they're keeping its name.

Well, if you look closely at the Mecha-Freeza pic: here, you can see some slight changes made. For one, he has what looks like a small bomb or a communication device attached to his waist, and his tail has a bunch of spikes on it, as opposed to just a metal version of his already sleek tail. I dunno, maybe it's just me over analyzing details.

EDIT: I just noticed that Freeza has a whole bunch of guns attached to his back (how did I miss that?!), so maybe Toriyama did have some new design in mind for Mecha-Freeza...
Which just proves that Freeza is without a doubt the best villain Dragon Ball ever saw.

I thought you were one of the ones that hated Tenkaichi. Didn't you compare it to Sagas or something like that? Or am I confusing you with someone else? :|

Don't know if anyone said this already, but in the interview on gamespot, he says that Toriyama created the new version of mecha frieza for this game.

If it have been said already, sorry, I don't have the time to read everything!

It's been noted already on the homepage by VegettoEX.

Which really doesn't make sense. I wonder where they got that info. Also, Mecha Frieza's been around since Budokai 1 in videogames.

Yah I know, but this is a "new" version of mecha freeza (look op some of the scans on www.jeux-france.com ) and you'll see that he has an "basooka" on his shoulder.

If you weren't replying to me, then it doesn't matter!

Suppaman's in the currently last video on IGN, or the 6th one. Depending on how you look at it. =D Now they should make him unlockable for the home version.

I would prefer Arale, but the 6 extra characters are already confirmed.

Oh, that new stuff that he has. Yeah, I see what you are talking about. Toriyama probably did design that.

Well, I didn't care for it, no. And I did compare it to Sagas once or twice on the overall quality of the game. But it's still DBZ and I liked the concept to the first game. I'm somewhat optimistic that issues will be fixed. And... well, I've seen more BT gameplay vids than Super DBZ. >>
