Hope you both enjoy.sangofe wrote: Thu Feb 27, 2025 12:32 pm I've booked tickets for me and my daugther on the sunday evening showing![]()
I'll be seeing it myself on the Sunday morning.
Looking forward to hearing about people's experiences, for many of us it will be the first time seeing Battle of Gods in a theatre.

I remember when I went to see it with my big bro and my young sis (she's not a fan of DB tho) in the cinema and it was an amazing and different experience to see a DB movie around a lot of other fans than at home on TV.Dragon Ball Ireland wrote: Thu Feb 27, 2025 12:35 pm Looking forward to hearing about people's experiences, for many of us it will be the first time seeing Battle of Gods in a theatre.
I wonder whether RoF and Broly will get another international theatrical run in the future. Well, Broly is unlikely since it already was premiered in more territories than both BoG and RoF together.
A little too late but yeah, I've been officially active in Kanzenshuu for ten years

So far only my daughter and me have tickets lol. They've done no advertising whatsoever..Tian wrote: Thu Feb 27, 2025 7:18 pmI remember when I went to see it with my big bro and my young sis (she's not a fan of DB tho) in the cinema and it was an amazing and different experience to see a DB movie around a lot of other fans than at home on TV.Dragon Ball Ireland wrote: Thu Feb 27, 2025 12:35 pm Looking forward to hearing about people's experiences, for many of us it will be the first time seeing Battle of Gods in a theatre.

Thanks. She's doing it to keep me company and says she's tired of Dragon Ball but I'm mildly optimistic she might like it.Dragon Ball Ireland wrote: Thu Feb 27, 2025 12:35 pmHope you both enjoy.sangofe wrote: Thu Feb 27, 2025 12:32 pm I've booked tickets for me and my daugther on the sunday evening showing![]()

Yeah, Battle of Gods didn't get theatrical screenings here back in 2014, all it had before the home release was a surprise screening at the closing ceremony of the Nom Con convention that year (which Chris Sabat teased at a panel the day before). I remember all the Dragon Ball fans in that hall room being ecstatic to see the new movie and being really pleased with it afterward.Tian wrote: Thu Feb 27, 2025 7:18 pm I remember when I went to see it with my big bro and my young sis (she's not a fan of DB tho) in the cinema and it was an amazing and different experience to see a DB movie around a lot of other fans than at home on TV.
I agree, Resurrection F might, or even get a wider release than it did before. We got it here in Ireland but it was very limited, I actually recall some fans I met at the Broly premier being surprised to hear we had Resurrection F screenings.Tian wrote: Thu Feb 27, 2025 7:18 pm I wonder whether RoF and Broly will get another international theatrical run in the future. Presumably if these screenings make enough money the next step will be either to release Battle of Gods in theatres outside Europe or give Resurrection F a second theatrical run. I'd be quite interested in either.
I guess it's possible Broly could get a wider release than it had in some countries, but its probably unlikely. Super Hero got screenings in several small towns even those 2+ hours away from Dublin, but I say TOEI would probably think after all the marketing Broly got that they made as much money as they could out of screenings.
Considering how well Daima looks I'm surprised more territories haven't jumped on the bandwagon of giving it theatrical screenings as Sugoi did in Oceania.
That was nice of her to be thinking of you. Fingers crossed she will be pleasantly surprised with the movie.sangofe wrote: Fri Feb 28, 2025 5:30 am Thanks. She's doing it to keep me company and says she's tired of Dragon Ball but I'm mildly optimistic she might like it.

This was such a great piece of Dragon Ball media. Everything from the writing to the production just screamed "passion". I hope everyone who goes to see this in theaters has a great experience.

For those who have seen BoG theatres, how was your experience? I'm seeing it tonight.

Just back from the screening here in Ireland. It was great to see the movie in the theatre as we didn't get a screening in 2014 (only a convention screening courtesy of Chris Sabat at Nom Con) and felt nice to go out and do something in Toriyama's memory.
The experience was good. I thought I'd be the only one in the cinema because it was a release of a movie from 2013 and subbed, but surprisingly there was about five other people there.
Aside from two people leaving during the movie it was enjoyable, no one was on their phones or talking during the screening and seemed just happy to watch Dragon Ball on the big screen.
Piece of Magic's logo was shown alongside TOEI Animation as the movie began, so it appears Crunchyroll had nothing to do with this release.
Of course I've watched this movie many times since it was first released in 2013, but it's always a pleasure to rewatch and remember that time as the beginning of the Dragon Ball Renaissance.
Hopefully these screenings add a decent amount to the movies global box office so we can get more re-releases, or Dragon Ball theatrical screenings in general (seeing episodes of the series as some countries did recently was nice).

Re: Dragon Ball Z : Battle of Gods Returns To Theatres - Countries and Release Dates
Watched the final Daima and then saw BOG, it was fun, but I realised how mid the animation mostly was in BOG and how much of it's novelty was from seeing the whole DB gang again. Now we have super and daima and such BOG doesn't hold up as well IMO.
This viewing of the extended edition I think he liked Goku from the spar onwards, and then earths food, and spent the entire movie looking for an excuse not to destroy earth while saving face.

What an amazing experience it was to watch Battle of Gods in theaters!
We were only a total of 4 people but I had some great fan talks with one of the guys there before the movies and we talked about what we liked about Dragon Ball, our favorite sagas and so on. Great mood.
The movie itself had SO MUCH more humor than I could remember. Daima has nothing compared to it. I truly will miss Toriyama's touch. Thank you, great late Akira Toriyama-sensei.

It seems that the Grand Rex movie theater in France was full.
