Exactly. Kaioshin's only mistake was greatly underestimating the strength of Goku and co., which, honestly, isn't that bad of a mistake. It's a mistake like thinking you have $5 in your wallet when you actually have $500 is a mistake. All it meant was that his plan was in the process of proceeding even better than he could have expected! But then Vegeta had to go and screw everything up, like he is extremely prone to do...

He did let them know before it was too late. They had plenty of time to stop Buu from being awakened. It was only when Vegeta got bored and started crying like a spoiled little princess because he wanted to play with Kakarot that the plan started to go down hill.
The plan started to go down hill long before Vegeta started whining like the little bitch he is, which is why I said 92% out of the blame goes to Kaioshin. Vegeta's bitching just worsened the blow.

Not if it's to the extend where he thinks Gohan can't beat weaklings like Spopovich and Yamu.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

At what single point prior to Vegeta's stupidity did they not have the mission 100% in the bag?

Letting two muscle-bound thugs steal Gohan's energy.

How did that screw up the plan? There was still not a single thing that would have prevented them from infiltrating the ship and killing all who stood in their way at this point, sans Vegeta being a dick.

He was. That's why he was on Earth to pre-empt Babid and Dabura in the first place. And it was established several times that Babidi was aware of the Kaioshin as well and trying to avoid him.

Please tell me more about your fabulous Boo arc fan fiction though.

And he knew that Babidi was on Earth. But remember how Babidi's spaceship works. It doesn't travel trough space, it teleports to the planet Babidi wants to go. And instead of searching the planet for a huge spaceship, Kaioshin should search the whole planet for a human sized gate... which would be stupid to even try that, because he would have to search every single corner in the planet.

Dead sure, because that's what we were told. I don't see any reason for Toriyama to include it if it wasn't true.

Yes, he read Vegeta's mind. But Spopovich & Yamu were both minions of Babidi, who is a wizard, so it's only logical to assume that he would have taken his measures to hide his location and prevent his biggest enemy from learning his plans through his minions.

I don't write fan fiction. ;)

My problem with him is that he was painfully incompetent. It's like he decided to do his job at the last second instead of actually doing his homework.

It's Vegeta's fault. Dabura would have eventually beaten Gohan to a point in which he would surrender or Goku would step in, one shot Dabura, game over.

I like how everyone blames Vegeta for this. You know all of this could have been avoided had Gohan not been a slacker and actually trained for those 7 years  . Actually you know whats even funnier is all of this could have been avoided if Kaioshin didnt A show up and let Gohan's energy be stolen and B stop Vegeta from destroying Babidi's ship.

The energy would transfer to Majin Boo if he destroyed the ship.

Anyways, Goku is just as much to blame as Vegeta because he could have knocked Vegeta out by going SSJ3 on his ass and kill Majin Boo.

Kaioshin said this might happen, it was one of two possibilities. Either Buu wouldn't have woken up or he would have and the Kaioshin didn't want to take the risk. Also Kaioshin said that if Buu was awakened then he wouldn't be at full power. Well.. If he only got half of his power from Gohan when he'd woken up Goku and Vegeta would have been able to take care of him pretty easily if he was only at 50% of his full strength.
