I still hate that they're being used for the least Kanzenban-like release so far, and practically guaranteeing we'll never get a straight-up 'Perfect Edition' release from Viz...

They're pretty common shoes in Dragon Ball. At least ever since Future Trunks showed up with them (they may have appeared before that, but he was the turning point for the main cast: Future Trunks, Trunks, EOZ Goten, EOZ Vegeta, etc).

"Djinn" is a valid translation of the Japanese word majin. That's all there is to it. It's not a change, any more than them translating madoushi as "warlock".

Weird they're saying it contains Volumes 37-39 and not Z 21-23. I guess that is a small win? Ugh I can't believe these things made it all the way to the end. Mike's review tearing it apart still feels so fresh to me.

I do like how the 3-in-1s keep Dragon Ball as a single series.

I'm sure they make decent money from these thanks to their price. I like that their binding holds up well, but I don't like how they used the Kanzenban covers and whatnot. If it weren't for that and the "uncensored" stuff on the back, I'd like these better.

As long as Viz keeps giving me the Full Color volumes, I'll be happy. I really hope they release the whole series that way.

Yea, I feel they should have done something more like this:

The delay bewteen volumes is annoying, it won't be till september thill these things get finished. I just wonder if they'll forget to uncensor the guns. After everything else I expect it
But overall I'd say this was a rather lazy release. They should not have used the VIZBIGS as they're base and just use them for better quality de-colorized pages.

Yeah, really odd choice there for the final cover. Oh well! Glad that these will finally be done for people who like them.
