When was Son Goten born?

Post by Piccolo Daimao » Wed Mar 18, 2009 4:53 pm

When was Son Goten concieved? And therefore, when was Goten born?

If anyone has any information on this matter, please reply.

Daizenshuu 7 and the GT Perfect Files both say he was born sometime in Age 767, the year of all the android/Cell stuff. That's the year he'd have to be born in for him to be 7 years old by the time of the 25th Tenkaichi Budoukai (which is how old the tournament announcer says he is), 7 years later. Since Goten presumably wasn't born before the Cell Games, which were in May, he must have been born between June and December 767, meaning he would to have been concieved between September 766 and March 767.

It was probably closer to December that Goten was pregnant with Chichi. It would be seriously pushing it for her to be eight months pregnant at the Cell Games and look exactly the same as ever.

A lot of guys think Goten was conceived during those days Goku was home waiting for the Cell Games. Some of the ones with their minds in the gutter especially reason that as why Goten was able to be a Super Saiyan so young.

This is what I think. Chi-Chi probably just hadn't missed her period before Goku died.

And when you think about it, that is hilarious(in the anime, at least).

But he's stated to be 7 years old by the time of the 25th Tenkaichi Budoukai, and the oldest he could be if he was concieved during the days before the Cell Games is 6 years and 3 months old. I guess you could say that they're rounding up, but that's a long way to round. Unless half-Saiyans have shorter gestation periods than pure Earthlings.

He probably went Super Saiyajin in the womb and had to come out early.

Imagine how much food Chi-Chi ate while she was pregnant. She was eating for both herself and a Saiyan.

I'd guess she'd be eating as if she were an Octomom.

Maybe he was just born prematurely. This could help explain why he went SSJ so early: he'd have a lower potential, making it possible to become a weak SSJ.

Are the gestation periods the same for a Saiyan child as a typical human? It could be that the time is slightly different for Saiyan's. I guess the Saiyan sperm would swim super fast sparing a couple of days. The child may develop quicker thus resulting in an earlier labour.

Saiyan gestation has to be identical to human gestation, or the different genetic codes wouldn't mesh.

And human sperm can reach the egg in half a hour, it takes longer someting because there's no tracking system, the sperms literally have to bump into the egg.

Which again takes me to Goten being born premature. Before, I was just joking, but it might actually be plausible. Depending how much of a premie he is, it would result in a regular baby dying. Being the son of a Super Saiyan, however, he might have been able to handle it.
