Recoome's Race?

Post by JAPPO » Thu Jun 18, 2009 5:33 pm

What's Recoome's race? He looks exactly like a human, despite the rest of the Ginyu force looking like aliens.
If challenge had a taste, you'd be quite delicious.

Big-tough-meathead-jin. Seriously, I always wondered about that good question.
The Saiyans are very much like the Klingons and Jem'Hadar.

It's just odd. He's surrounded by aliens and he just looks human. Albeit on steroids.

More like PCP. He took so much pain, and yet, acted like nothing happened.

Except for their tails, Saiya-jins look like humans too.
So I guess that there are a lot more humanoid aliens that look like Earthlings.
He could have been born on a planet like the Earth, but due to genetics he was stronger than the average human on Earth.
Maybe they had a 20x higher gravitation compared to Earth (he is very buff).

I thought all Ginyu Force members were mutants. So would that explain Reacoom's freakish durability?

They could still have a home-planet and a race.
Being mutant may point to that they were genetically different in power if you compare with the other people of their planets, like, freakishly strong.
Wasn't it that Sauza and Jeice were from the same planet?

They're like the Bolys of their race. Only, y'know, without the mental defects, I guess.

Is it possible for him to be human? I mean its possible other humans were exploring the regions of space(possibly forming colonies). These colonies could have been attacked by Frieza and his men. Its also possible that if this happened, Frieza kidnapped Reacoom and forced him into working for the Ginyu Force.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

I never said that they didn't have home-planets. And yeah, I think Jheese and Sauza were from the same solar system or something, at least.

Come on Broli’s ‘I am going to kill you bitch!’ mentality stems from the fact that he is “instinct driven” according to the Daizenshuu in the manner of the original Legendary Super Saiyan.
The Saiyans are very much like the Klingons and Jem'Hadar.

I believe Reacoom is a human, but was sent into outer space as a teen by Dr. Briefs who kidnapped him after bludgeoning him on the head with a 2x4.

Y'see, Reacoom never quite got along with the kids at school, much akin to Geeko in DBE, and was a social outcast. He was a large, muscular person who was also kind and gentle. One day, a bunch of guys jumped him in the classic dark, foggy ally-way scene and absolutely tore him to shreds! He also suffered a severe case of brain damage, and he could no longer speak properly.

Image

Dr. Briefs stumbled upon Reacoom while walking home from the grocery store and saw the helpless lad laying by a dumpster and took him-- by force-- to his laboratory to experiment on his body. Dr. Briefs thought he was Android 16 because he looks exactly like him, so he opened the poor guy up, and gave him a metal skeleton and decided to send him to space, where there would be no man left to torture the innocent soul...

But fate would have it, that his space ship would crash-land on the very planet Frieza that Vegeta would return to for medical treatment if need be. Well, some guard was teasing the Raccoon, and now due to his implants, he absolutely demolished the guy! His upper half was completely disintegrated! Well, as it turns out, the good ol' Captain Ginyu witnessed the very action and decided to recruit young Recoome to become a new part of his Ginyu Force!

How Fortunate! The misfit finds his place in existence!

DBE talk popping up outta nowhere in a thread by JAPPO. How unintentionally awkward... (No douche bag-ness intended, buddy).

But seriously, I don't know why you all think that he's human. That's asinine.

On the Japanese Wikipedia page for the Ginyu Special Force, it claims that according to some anime scenario, Recoomo is from a planet with an environment similiar to Earth's. His race is also about as evolved as Earthlings, with the same fighting ability, and it was Recoome alone who was born as a mutant, genius fighter. Interesting, but there's no source for this, so take it with a grain of salt.
Wojak wrote:Wasn't it that Sauza and Jeice were from the same planet?
It's the same solar system. It's part of the set of background information for Coola's men that was originally printed in Weekly Jump before DBZ movie 5 premiered.
Pain wrote:I thought all Ginyu Force members were mutants. So would that explain Reacoom's freakish durability?
Ginyu says that they're all mutants ("natural mutants" to be exact, so they're not like the Ninja Turtles or anything), but "mutant" isn't a race, it's a varient of a race. So just as Ginyu thought that Goku must be a mutant Saiyan, born to be even better at fighting than regular Saiyans, Ginyu and co. would all be mutants of various other aliens races, born with natural abilities greater than the rest of their race.

Since Ginyu believed that Kakarrot was a mutant then that means, some may have existed. Thus, Dayspring’s theory that Broli was a mutant could be based on fact. In addition, that would explain why the main continuity’s original Legendary Super Saiyan was so strong and was able to achieve the Golden Ôzaru transformation.

The idea of Son Gokû being a mutant is most likely based on Ginyû's own assessment that if he and his men were considered 'mutants' for being so adept to battle, than amongst Saiyans, this one sent to Earth was also a one-in-a-trillion chance a mutant.

Remember, at this time Son was being built up as the one, legendary embodiement of the Super Saiyan legend.

The strongest Saiyan in the last 1,000 years had a PL between 24,000 and 90,000, and that was the (base form of the) previous SSJ. Maybe Goku and Vegeta actually were mutant Saiyans? But yeah, that's why I think Broly is just USSJ2 in his continuity.

Back on-topic, I want Recoom to be a mutant Kongaragattan. I find it amusing that he'd have a PL above 30,000 while the rest of his race, including the elite, all have PLs lower than 5.
