Appule's race

Post by Takuy » Sat Jun 20, 2009 8:50 pm

We all know who Appule is, the guy who died in two episodes.
We see numerous people of his race, and people who looked like him.

One of these is the one referred to as 'Orlen' in the Ocean Dub, is Orange and has the same head shape, but he has fangs, and no spots!

We see another one in Bardock: Father of Goku movie, as one of Dodoria's Elites, who is blue, and has green spots, called 'Boysenberry' [Why does the interwebs call him this again?]

The rest of them are seen being destroyed on Vegeta during the Garlic Jr. Saga. Yet, all of these look like the same as Appule.

Anyone have any information on this race or is it one of those unnamed races that go undetected until a question comes up?

I believe the orange Appule-lookalike is only seen in the anime. In the manga, the two are the same character.

Maybe it's a Dub Thing (TM)? I'm pretty sure he doesn't have a name in the original.

Yeah, I know they are the same in the manga, but still with the confusion caused by the Anime, as there appears to be more then one of Appule's race.

What bothers me is how they release information on Movie Villians, but not bigger anime-only races/villians.

Well, movie villains are fairly relevant to the movie they appear in.
Apoule barely has a name.

Well, it can't really be the man himself.

Since he's... y'know... dead in two episodes... heh heh heh... 8)

Shame on you! Don't you understand the awesomeness that is Appule? He's even been playable in a videogame, a feat that many characters (Shen, Yakon, over half of the Dark Dragons, etc.) have yet to accomplish! Seriously, though, if they put out any more guide books, there should be a section on Freeza's army. It could include cool new info on all of the various origins. Maybe Appule was born an apple, just like Kaio!

Appule is immortal. Tell everyone that. EVERYONE!

If you don't, I will hunt you down!

Just kidding.
His character design is immortal though,
No more time for Daizex. Goodbye folks!

He was playable in Sparking! Meteor/Budokai Tenkaichi 3.

He was also first playable through the use of a special password in Sparking! Neo.

Only in the European/Japanese Wii versions, though.
