Looks like Son Wukong. Is this a reference to Journey? Is that the connection?

Yeah, it's Wu Kong from Journey to the West. The main reference is that Son Goku's outfit from Dragon Ball Z is seemingly an alternative costume for him.

A friend pointed this out to me somewhere a while back, what DW game is this? The latest one?
On a side note, Hokuto no Ken Musou looks interesting too... But that's for another forum.
Wish I'd come up with a better username now, ha!

It's from Sangoku Musou: Multi-Raid 2. I think it's called "Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce 2" or something in the US.

Why not? They're already making a Hokuto no Ken one.
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

It would have to cover the movie with Metal Cooler if that was the case... or the Red Ribbon Army. I can't really think of any other moments off the top of my head where entire armies are fought in Dragonball.

Haven't played that one, but enjoy the first one. It's what got me decideing to watch the original series. And got to say, DWG makes more sense than a Dragon Ball one.

Are you asking about the one from the OP? It is from Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce 2/Sangoku Musou: MULTI RAID 2.
