Looking for a Song

Post by KakaR0T » Sun Jun 20, 2010 12:53 pm

First of all, is it possible to buy the original japanese soundtrack to the Dragonball(Z) series? If so then where can you buy it?

Also I'm looking for the name of a sad Dragonball song. Here is a list of episodes where it's used:

Dragonball (episode 113): When Yamcha, Oolong, Puar, Bulma, and Launch find that Roshi and Chazu are dead. Tien leaves to learn the Mafuba.

Dragonball (episode 114): When Roshi and Chazu are put into the capsule coffins.

Dragonball Z (episode 79): While Freeza impales Krillin and some of his blood lands on Vegeta's face.

Dragonball Z (episode 87): While King Kai is explaining Vegeta's story to Tien, Yamcha, and Chazu.

Dragonball Z (episode 97): When King Kai was explaining to Yamcha, Tien, and Chazu that Freeza had no choice but to destroy Namek and it will explode in 5 minutes.

If you can find the Dragon Ball & Dragon Ball Z Daizenshuu, buy it. It's got more DB BGM music than the Dragon Ball Ongakushû (Music Collection). For DBZ BGM, get the Dragon Ball Z BGM Collection. You may also want to get some of the movie soundtracks as well.

Some of these may be hard to find outside of Yahoo! Japan Auctions.

The Daizenshuu set is on eBay right now for a really good price.

Oh good. That's a bootleg though... But it's probably the best someone outside Japan can get without going through some site like Celga.

Oh... too bad. I thought it was kinda fishy since they were new and there were so many of them.

When I looking the cover I already know it's a bootleg but because someone said it's not bootleg, I thought it's not a bootleg but now I knew it's not a bootleg.

I can't tell if you're agreeing with me or disagreeing... :?

Anyways, it's made by SonMay, a CD bootleging company. The real CD is by Columbia Records.

If you were to compare the two, you're tell the difference with just a glance. The bootleg comes in a multi-disk case, while the real set has each disk in its own individual case, with the five cases inside a sturdy box.

When it comes to music related questions, surely you guys have heard of kenisu3000? He's created the excellent Dragon Ball series BGM website, a place that lists all the BGM used in every episode. The man deserves more credit because he's put a lot of work into it and it's been very helpful to me and hopefully, to you all in the future.

The song you're looking for is titled (at least on his website) Loss Of A Master. The piece is on the second disc of the 5-set Daizenshuu. It's the third part of the 22nd track. This should answer your question. If you've been searching for any other pieces, use this site: http://kenisu.webs.com/ It should help a lot.

I know it! It's the last piece on "Kame-sennin's Last Mafuba" (I forgot the name...) and it's only on the 5 CD set..
