Why is The Nameless Namekian so powerful?
Maybe there where many warrior-types on namek before catastrophic natural disaster on namek that had the power level of The Nameless Namekian. Why was only one namekian able to become stronger than a super saiyan?

I think that the nameless Namek's potential was very big, not that he already was stronger than one, when he was a kid and before splitting in two.warrior72989 wrote:Maybe there where many warrior-types on namek before catastrophic natural disaster on namek that had the power level of The Nameless Namekian. And the Namekians are a gifted race both in the magical department(dragonballs) and the fighting department(Nail, Piccolo). Nail could probably also become stronger than a SSJ, for example if a saiyan achieved it with a base PL of 800, he would then have a PL of 40.000 as a SSJ, still only on par with Nail.

Does becoming Super Saiyan automatically raise a Saiyan's power level to Goku's first transformation on Namek? Or is the transformation weaker since Goten and Trunks could do it without training to like 80,000 first.

Re: Why is The Nameless Namekian so powerful?
He was born with a great potential, which I'm sure isn't unique - seems to me Nail was the same, but we never really got to see it because the only time he actually fought was against the arc bad guy who was way stronger than all the main characters combined at that point...so there were probably quite a few of those really strong Namekians, but given the circumstances and focus of the series at that point, we didn't get to see it. Nameless/Kamiccolo just happened to end up on earth, a planet where by comparison to the main inhabitants he was extraordinarily strong. That probably lead to his ambition/ability to become God, and then we all know what happened once he purged his evil...but Piccolo Daimaoh's reign of terror was back when Gokou was still a child and we didn't have things like Super Saiyajin running around making the stakes huge. The Nail that fought Freeza was most likely much more powerful than Piccolo Daimaoh at his peak after restoring his youth; it's just that the stakes were different, the heroes were weaker, and so of course he was a huge threat at the time.
So, after re-merging, they got that Kamiccolo power back...couple that with absorbing Nail, who was probably of similar strength to the original Kamiccolo...and lots of training, especially training and fighting alongside the rest of the main cast which pushed him to his limits...he was only so special in comparison in the same way Gokou, Vegeta, etc were special compared to your average run-of-the-mill Saiyajin. Compare Vegeta when he first showed up on earth, as an elite, best-of-the-best of his race, to him at the end of the series. Because of circumstances he surpassed what was believed to be the limits of his race. He was born with royal, elite-class blood, but what good did that do for him in the long run? A low-class ended up being his superior or at the very least equal by the end of the series, because of training, circumstances, etc. It's not that the child of Kattatsu was more remarkable than any other Namekian - of that special warrior-type clan, which were probably more rare and powerful than the average, certainly, he was probably no more special than others of the same class. Our Piccolo only turned out to be so amazing because he was getting the same experience as our other heroes alongside them, through all the circumstances they all went through.

Re: Why is The Nameless Namekian so powerful?
First, I'd just like to note that the original "nameless Namekian", the being who split up into God and Piccolo, was a Dragon Clan Namekian, rather than a Warrior-type like Nail, Ma Junior, or the re-fused form of God and Piccolo.
As for the main question, I have a Pokemon analogy (I think I'm just going to explain everything in terms of Pokemon from now on). Different pokemon have certain base stats, which are one of the things which determine how powerful any given pokemon will be, together with their level and various other factors. When a pokemon evolves, these base stats increase. So all else being equal, a Bulbasaur will be weaker than an Ivysaur, and an Ivysaur will be weaker than a Venusaur. In other words, a lv.100 Bulbasaur would be stronger than a lv.32 Venusaur, but much weaker than a lv.100 Venusaur.
So I think Piccolo and his various splits and mergings with people works the same way. The original nameless Namekian would have been like a lv.32 Venusaur, but after splitting would have become a lv.32 Ivysaur, with Piccolo being a lv.32 Bulbasaur. Both have weaker base stats than the original nameless Namekian, but God's much closer to the original in power at this point than Piccolo. Then the Cell arc comes along, and by this point Piccolo has trained a lot and become a lv.100 Bulbasaur. He's now much stronger than God is or the nameless Namekian ever was, but his base stats are still inferior to both. By re-merging with God, he becomes a lv.100 Venusaur, increasing his base stats and therefore his overall power immensely.
Of course, there's the whole thing with Nail, meaning that the re-merged God/Piccolo would really be like a Super Venusaur or something, but let's not over-complicate the analogy. My general point is that I don't think the original nameless Namekian was anywhere near as powerful as the "Super Namekian" Piccolo is in the Cell arc. Super Namekian Piccolo got that powerful by combining all the training he'd gone through after the split with the original natural potential ("base stats" in the analogy) he originally had as a complete Namekian before the split, with his merging with Nail just adding even more icing on the cake.
